M.Ed: An Overview

The M.Ed full form is Master’s in Education which is a postgraduate degree with the aim of providing specialized knowledge within the field of education, curriculum design and teaching methodologies. The M.Ed course duration is 2 years consisting of 4 semesters. M.Ed Eligibility Criteria

• Students must hold a B.Ed degree from any recognized institution or university. Related degrees such as BA with integrated B.Ed or BSc with integrated B.Ed may be considered by universities.
• A minimum total score between 50-60% must have been achieved by a student during the course of their B.Ed undergraduate studies.
• Possessing credible work experience, especially in the field of teaching or education also helps students.
• If applicable, students clearing required entrance exams such as the CUET are also given preference.
• Having an educational background in the fields of Humanities or Social Sciences is also given preference by certain universities.
