M.Ed Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must hold a B.Ed degree from any recognized institution or university. Related degrees such as BA with integrated B.Ed or BSc with integrated B.Ed may be considered by universities.
  • A minimum total score between 50-60% must have been achieved by a student during the course of their B.Ed undergraduate studies.
  • Possessing credible work experience, especially in the field of teaching or education also helps students.
  • If applicable, students clearing required entrance exams such as the CUET are also given preference.

For the M. Ed Admission Process, students are given admission on the basis of:

  • Merit: Their overall merit such as academic scores and extracurriculars 
  • Entrance Exam: Their performance on specified entrance exams. Students must attain required ranks or cut-off criteria as required by their university of choice. 

The admission process for the M. Ed postgraduate degree can be as follows:

  1. Students review universities and decide which ones to apply for on the basis of their programs, specializations, infrastructure, faculty, reviews and placements.
  2. After deciding which universities meet a student’s required needs, they can apply for universities either through the offline or online mode. After applying, students may pay an application fee for the same.
  3. Students must prepare relevant documents that are required by their university of choice such as aptitude test score, entrance exam scores or migration certificates. 
  4. Depending on the university, students may undergo an interview for the selection process for universities to better assess the applicants. 
  5. Universities take some time to assess students on the basis of their merit or entrance-exam performance as and/or their interview .
  6. If selected students may receive an offer letter as well as an email confirming their selection.
