B Tech Civil Engineering Eligibility

The B Tech Civil engineering eligibility differs from college to college. However, to get a complete idea about the eligibility if the course, have a look below:-

• The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% in his/ her 12th in the subjects like Maths, Physics, Chemistry/ Biology.
• One who has secured a diploma in Mechanical or Allied Sciences is eligible for direct admission to this course.

Why to study B Tech Civil Engineering?

A new version of B Tech civil engineering is being developed to fulfil the demands of the modern economy. Popular colleges for civil engineering in India are now teaching students how to make the most of the existing resources by introducing modern subjects like material science. Transportation engineering, environmental engineering, structural engineering, maintenance, and structural rehabilitation are some of the fields where B Tech civil engineering graduates are currently in demand. 

B Tech Civil Engineering is one of the simpler and less demanding engineering specialties. According to the majority of students, engineering drawing is the only challenging aspect. According to a survey from VIT Vellore, job possibilities for B Tech civil engineering graduates are predicted to increase by 20% over the next two years. The biggest pay package available at the moment for any civil engineer with a significant quantity of working experience is INR 50.5 lakhs. NIT, IIT, and VIT Vellore B Tech civil engineering graduates are reported to earn employment offers ranging from INR 15 lakhs to INR 36 lakhs annually.

B Tech Civil Engineering Admission

There is a different B Tech Civil Engineering Admission procedure for each institute. Some institutes admit students on the basis of their entrance examinations and others take students on the basis of JEE Main, JEE Advanced, etc. There are several B Tech Civil Engineering Entrance Examinations that are conducted like BITSAT, SRMJEEE, VITEEE, SITEEE, AMUEEE, etc. Further, examination like JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency whereas the other examinations are conducted by their respective institutes.

However, top institutions like the IITs and NITs do not accept applications for direct admission from candidates with a civil engineering diploma. Additionally, many private universities offer direct admission on the fair basis of academic standing or donation. Candidates are assigned seats through counseling, which is governed by the relevant authorities of these institutes, after being accepted for the entrance exam.

B Tech Civil Engineering Fees

After the candidates are done with the admission, they will have to submit the B Tech Civil Engineering Fees. Furthermore, the Civil Engineering Course Fees ranges around INR 2,00,000 to INR 6,00,000. Without the payment of the fees, the candidature of the candidate can be cancelled.

B Tech in Civil Engineering Entrance Examination

JEE Main

Joint Entrance Examination Main is an examination that is conducted by the National Testing Agency. Candidates who wish to pursue the course of Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering can take this examination. Various institutes take admissions on the basis of the marks secured in this examination.    

JEE Advanced

An academic test known as the Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced is administered every year in India. For JEE-Main qualifying applicants, it is run by one of the seven zonal IITs under the direction of the Joint Admission Board in a round-robin rotational format.    

BITSAT

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is a computer-based online exam for admission to integrated first degree programmes at BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.    

SRMJEE

Every year for admission to the institute's B. Tech programmes, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) holds the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE).
