Vivekanand Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), Delhi Admission
Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) was established in 2000. It is located in Pitampura, Delhi.
VIPS offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in four different schools. The four different schools are Vivekananda School of Information Technology, Vivekananda Law School, Vivekananda School of Business Studies, and Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Currently, VIPS offers seven UG and two PG programs.
- Admission to any of the courses in VIPS is through IPU CET.
- IPU CET application forms can be submitted online through the website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
- IPU CET application fee is Rs. 1000 per course which can be paid by BillDesk payment gateway using a debit/credit card or net banking.
- For admission, the candidate will attend the University’s counseling after obtaining the minimum cut-off mark.
- Selection will be done through counseling. Counseling is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
VIPS BBA, BCA, BJMC, BA-LLB, BBA-LLB Admission
The eligibility for these courses is 50% marks in 10+2 examination with English as a mandatory subject. Admission to these programs is through IPU CET. For the BCA course, English and Mathematics are mandatory at the 10+2 level.
VIPS LLM and MCA Admission
- Under the postgraduate courses, VIPS offers LLM and MCA. Selection to these courses is on the basis of marks or rank obtained by students in IPU - CET exam.
- The minimum eligibility for the MCA course is a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with Mathematics and English as a compulsory subject in 10+2.
- The minimum eligibility for the LLM course is 50% marks in LLB degree.
- CET exam is not required for students with a management quota.
- There is a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.
VIPS Application Process
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University allows only online mode for application form submission.
- Go to the official website of GGSIP University.
- Fill all the details in application form and upload the scanned copies of the required documents as mentioned in the information brochure.
- Submit the application form and registration ID and password will generate.
- Pay the application fee of Rs. 1000 before the last date.
- After submitting the application form and application fee, admit card will be issued.
- Counselling will be held and the seat will be allotted on the basis of marks/rank secured by the students in IPU CET.
- Students should carry the following documents for counselling/interview:
- 10th, 12th, and graduation mark sheets and certificates
- Medical, caste, and character certificate
- IPU CET Admit card
- Verification form and Preference Sheet
- Requisite Demand Drafts
- Affidavit of Rs. 10.
VIPS Reservation
- Delhi Region Candidates: 85%
- Outside Delhi Region Candidates: 15%
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
- Other Backward Caste (OBC): 27%
Steps to Apply for Admission to College
The admission process of the college is conducted in online mode. Interested candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the college must register themselves. Below mentioned are the steps that one must follow for admission:
Step 1 – Visit the website of CollegeSearch i.e. https://www.collegesearch.in/.
Step 2 – Click on ‘Colleges’ and type the college’s name in the search bar.
Step 3 – The college profile appears after clicking on ‘Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya’.
Step 4 – Navigate to and click on the ‘Apply Now’ or ‘Request to Apply’ tab available on the top left of the page.
Step 5 – It will redirect you to the official website where registration procedure takes place.
Step 6 – Register yourself by providing your personal and academic details.
Step 7 – Process the payment of application fee through any online mode of application.
Step 8 – Save your duly filled application form and payment receipt for future reference.
