SPJIMR Placement Report of 2024

Under the association of the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, the S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) often finds its place among the top ten ranked business schools in India. With a huge corporate engagement S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research has announced the end of their placements season for its PGDM and PGDM(BM). Provided with the current global recession and it’s effects on campus placements, S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research had the immense support of its alumni to secure placements for all its students with outstanding results.

The highest package that was offered to the students of PGDM was a total of INR 81 LPA, while the average package that was offered was of INR 33 LPA. Moreover, the placement rate which was observed during S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research PGDM placements was 100 %. Apart from this, INR 4.4 lakhs and INR 3.15 lakhs, was the maximum and average stipend given to students during their Autumn internships of 2024.

Over 70% of the batch secured offers of INR 30 LPA or more, and an impressive 92% of the batch received offers of INR 25 LPA or higher. Recruiters representing diverse sectors such as FMCG, Consulting, BFSI, Pharma, and Tech participated in the placement drive. 

Among these, the FMCG sector accounted for the highest number of offers at 35%, closely followed by the Consulting sector at 32%. Prominent companies that participated in SPJIMR Placements 2023 included Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, Accenture Strategy, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, and more.

The salary statistics reveal an intriguing distribution among the surveyed individuals. 92% of the respondents earn INR 25 LPA or even higher, indicating a predominantly well-compensated group. 

Among them, a substantial 70% command salaries of INR 30 LPA and above, highlighting a notable proportion enjoying even greater financial rewards. As we move up the salary spectrum, the percentage of those earning INR 35 LPA and more drops to 35%. At the pinnacle of the earnings scale, a select 6.6% of individuals boast salaries of INR 40 LPA.

SPJIMR Summer Internship Placements Report 2023

Summer Internships are also organized by SPJIMR Mumbai for its students, and the cohort of 2021-23 has effectively engaged in these internship opportunities.

In the SPJIMR Autumn Internship Placements 2023, a total of 237 students secured 312 internship positions. The students were granted an average monthly stipend of INR 2.95 Lakhs, marking a 13% increase from the previous year’s figures. 

The median stipend, which saw a 7% rise compared to 2021, reached INR 3 Lakhs per month. The upper quintile of students, constituting the top 20%, earned an average stipend of INR 3.66 Lakhs per month, while the upper half, or top 50%, enjoyed an average stipend of INR 3.34 Lakhs per month.

Within the scope of the placement initiative, the FMCG sector emerged as the leading recruiter, followed by the Consulting sector. Students were offered diverse roles such as Analytics, Consulting, Corporate IT, General Management, and Investment Banking.

In the SPJIMR Placements 2022, a cohort of 238 students took part. The SPJIMR Placement initiative saw engagement from 70 recruiting companies, out of which 33 were newcomers to the process. Prominent organizations such as Accenture, Aditya Birla Capital, Amazon, and American Express were among the notable recruiters.

Throughout the placement period, students secured 123 pre-placement offers. The most substantial offered salary reached INR 53.16 LPA, with an average salary of INR 32.06 LPA and a median salary of INR 30.10 LPA for the students.

In the context of SPJIMR Placements 2022, a substantial proportion of students, specifically 87%, secured salary packages equal to or exceeding INR 25 LPA. Additionally, 59% of the students attained salary packages at or above INR 30 LPA, while 30% of the students were successful in securing packages of INR 35 LPA and above. 

Furthermore, 14% of the students managed to secure impressive salary packages starting from INR 40 LPA and beyond.

In the placement drive for SPJIMR’s PGPM batch in 2022, the campus hosted a total of 75 recruiting companies. Notable industry players like Flipkart, IBM, and KPMG were among the prominent recruiters. A total of 130 students were successfully placed.

The students who participated in the placement drive received an average annual salary of INR 23.6 LPA. Furthermore, the upper quartile of the batch, comprising the top 25%, secured an average salary of INR 31 LPA. Similarly, the upper half of the students, representing the top 50%, achieved an average salary of INR 28.7 LPA.
