Saraswathi Law College, Chitradurga, Karnataka was established in 1965 with the aim of providing quality education to the students especially from the drought affected areas of central karnataka. The college was started to make legal education to the deserving students and has since become the hub of legal education in the region. This college was started by Late Sri T A Reddy Former MLC. It is recognized by the Bar Council of India and under 2F & 12B of the University Grant Commission since January 10, 2001. The college was affiliated to University Of Mysore till 1991. From 1992 to 2008 it was affiliated to Kuvempu University, Shivamoga. Later in 2009 it was affiliated to Karnataka State Law University.
As one of the oldest and reputed law colleges in Karnataka, Saraswathi Law College has set a benchmark for academic excellence and quality education. The institution provides a conducive environment where students are mentored by experienced and dedicated faculty members to shape their career. Since its inception the college has maintained high academic standards with excellent faculty and infrastructure.
Saraswathi Law College empowers students with knowledge and confidence to develop their personality and become socially responsible citizens with positive outlook. The institution also fosters an environment where academic success goes hand in hand with extracurricular activities. Saraswathi Law College offers law courses LLB(3 years) and BA LLB (5 years).
