RIMT - Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mandi Gobindgarh won Best Innovative Project Award at 17th Punjab Science Congress, 2014 organized by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. RIMT competed 18 Colleges & 4 universities from Punjab in which Punjabi University, Kurukshetra University, Punjab Agricultural University and Guru Nanak Dev University had taken part. Er Ajay Singh Rana, Associate Prof. Mechanical Engineering & Coordinator of Innovative Club RIMT-IET accompanied the students at Punjab Science Congress. The Projects who bagged the Award were Project of Designing a Vehicle for Handicap who have no arms prepared by Sudhanshu Gupta Mechanical Engineering student of RIMT-IET, Project for assisting Blind People with Stick using ultra sonic Sensors Prepared by Akshay Handa & Ayush Kumar Electronics & Communication Engineering 6th Semester students , ‘Multifunctional Robot Project ‘prepared by Jaspreet Singh 6th Semester Student of Mechanical Engineering
