The award was presented by a galaxy of VIPs Hon’ble Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Hon’ble Sh. SS Mantha, Chairman AICTE, Hon’ble Sh. A R Talwar, Principal Secretary IT & Higher Education, Hon’ble Sh. Ashwani Kumar, MD, NIELIT from Industry, Mr. C S Suryanarayan, Category Manager, HP Networking, HP India, Mr. Harbinder Sokhi, North Head, BSE
RIMT - Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mandi Gobindgarh won Best Innovative Project Award at 17th Punjab Science Congress, 2014 organized by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. RIMT competed 18 Colleges & 4 universities from Punjab in which Punjabi University, Kurukshetra University, Punjab Agricultural University and Guru Nanak Dev University had taken part. Er Ajay Singh Rana, Associate Prof. Mechanical Engineering & Coordinator of Innovative Club RIMT-IET accompanied the students at Punjab Science Congress. The Projects who bagged the Award were Project of Designing a Vehicle for Handicap who have no arms prepared by Sudhanshu Gupta Mechanical Engineering student of RIMT-IET, Project for assisting Blind People with Stick using ultra sonic Sensors Prepared by Akshay Handa & Ayush Kumar Electronics & Communication Engineering 6th Semester students , ‘Multifunctional Robot Project ‘prepared by Jaspreet Singh 6th Semester Student of Mechanical Engineering

Admission: It was easy especially if you have got good marks in you boards and scholarship is provided to those with good marks and admisson process becomes easier.

Placement: For B.Tech courae every student got many chance to sit in campus placement drives organized by TPO department and placement ratio is also very good. RIMT also prepare student for interviews by providing them special training classes.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified and very hardworking. They always guide students to make them capable to sustain in the future.
Admission: I heard alot about RIMT and I got direct admission in RIMT after completion my 10+2.
Club: There are a cultural club, technical club, sports club and social welfare club and all these clubs are managed by students.

Placement: Lots of different renowned company like HDFC, Cocala, ZARA, Cargil, IBM, Tommy Hilfiger, etc have interlinked with the college.
Faculty: My Favourite Teacher in our Faculty is Prof. Naveen Rishi as because he knows how to interact with the student properly and understand us in our needs and what to do.
