Admission at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Kottayam

Undergraduate Admission
For admission to the B.Tech programs, candidates must take the KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical Exam). Similarly, admission to the B.Arch program requires scores from the NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).
Once candidates have their scores, they will need to submit their scorecards and marks from the qualifying examination. Following this, they must participate in the KEAM Counselling process. Admission is granted based on the cutoff ranks and the availability of seats in their chosen programs and specializations.
Postgraduate Admission
For M.Tech programs, admissions are based on candidates’ performance in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). For the MCA (Master of Computer Applications) program, RIT conducts a separate entrance test.
How to Apply?
For B.Tech Programs:
Visit the Official Website: Candidates should go to the RIT official website to access the application form.
Registration: Click on the "Registration" link and fill in the following details:
- Applicant’s name
- Date of birth
- Email ID and mobile number
- Create a password
Note Application Number: After successful registration, candidates will receive a system-generated application number. This will be needed to log back into the portal.
Complete Application: Log in using the application number and password to fill in the remaining details, including academic and personal information.
Upload Documents: Candidates should upload scanned images of their photograph and signature.
Payment: Pay the application fee of INR 700. Candidates from the SC category will pay INR 300.
Print Application: Once the application fee is processed, a confirmation will be shown, and candidates should print the application form for future reference.
For M.Tech Programs:
Candidates applying for M.Tech programs need to prepare the following documents:
- A scanned copy of the Eligibility Certificate in PDF format
- Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate
- Certificate from the Head of the Department/Institute (available on the GOAPS website)
- Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of Dyslexic Certificate (if applicable)
- A scanned passport-sized photograph (480×640 to 240×320 pixels in JPEG format)
- A scanned signature image (160×560 to 80×280 pixels in JPEG format)
Steps to Apply Online:
- Register for the Exam: Fill out the online application form to create a unique ID and password.
- Login: Use the unique ID and password to enter personal information such as name, date of birth, and contact details.
- Upload Documents: Upload the required documents, including eligibility and category certificates.
- Choose GATE Paper: Select the GATE subject and preferred examination cities.
- Pay Application Fee: The fee is INR 1,500 for male candidates and INR 750 for female/SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Placement: placement cell is doing wonderful job. Every student get a chance to get placed.
Faculty: digital lectures were there, practical classes were very frequent.
College: Campus is a good college in terms of education, the management is good.
