Rajeswari Vedachalam Government Arts College, popularly known as RVGAC is a public college which was established in 1970 in Anna Nagar, Chennai. It is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and affiliated with the University of Madras. It is re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a ‘B’ grade. 

RVGAC offers Commerce, Management, Computer Applications, Science, and Arts courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. At the UG level, it offers BA, B. Com, BBA, BCA, and BSc. At the PG level, they offer MA, M. Com, and MSc. Admission to these courses is based on merit marks. Admission mode is available online.

B.A - Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized Board. 

B.com - Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with commerce stream from a recognized board.

B.Sc -  Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Science stream from a recognized board.

BBA -  Candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board.

M.A - Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

M.Com - Candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

M.Sc - Candidate must have completed a graduation degree in B.Sc with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry from a recognized university.
