Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2006 by the Vidyapeeth Education. PIET has achieved many milestones of success, it is among some of the best Engineering colleges in Haryana and National Capital region.

PIET Panipat is a multidisciplinary institute affiliated to the Kururkshetra University, Kurukshetra and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is one of the top institutes in Delhi NCR, Haryana situated on National Highway No- 1 near Samalkha, and is about 21 Kms from Panipat and 5o Kms from Karnal-Delhi bypass and easily approachable by rail and road.

1. PIET is spread over an area of 16 acres of land.
2. The institute has a centralized library as well as several departmental libraries to provide a great learning environment to the students. The college also runs a book bank providing learning books to students from economically weaker section of the society.
3. The campus is well equipped with a number of laboratories.  
4. There are hostels for both girls and boys where the students reside comfortably. The boys' hostel has the capacity of about 200 boys whereas the girls' hostel can house 50 girls. Hostels have Common Rooms, Gym, Badminton Courts, Volleyball ground and facilities for other indoor games as well.

PIET has been awarded a number of prestigious awards. It has been awarded the Best Institute for Academic Excellence and Placement in Delhi-NCR. PIET campus was awarded the CLEAN CAMPUS AWARD-2017 by AICTE on 2nd October, 2017.

PIET Panipat Admission:

The admission procedure includes following key points:

• Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate programs are shortlisted based on either their performance in different national or state level entrance examination or merit in the last qualifying examination.
• For admission to the postgraduate programs, the candidates are shortlisted based on a valid score in GATE/CAT/XAT/MAT examination or merit in the last qualifying examination.

PIET placement cell is a well- integrated cell which invites the top corporate companies to their campus every year. The campus placement procedure is in the best interest of both the students as well the companies. It has also been awarded for best placements in the region in 2015, 2014, and 2013.
