• A student need to know for Admissions into Undergraduate engineering programs are provided based on JEE Main examination, conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency. So students need to apply for the JEE Main exam on the official website. Eligible aspirants are required to register for JoSAAcounselling.
• Admissions in Post Graduate courses are provided based on GATE score. Hence, students need to apply for the GATE exam on the official website. After registration, the applicant will get both the application ID (to be used as a login name) and a password. Candidates can submit the payment through Demand Draft/online correspondingly for the course
• Admissions to foreign students are provided based on DASA and SAT scores.

NIT Delhi Average Package for the year 2021 was INR 9.8 LPA. There were around 40 leading companies of national and international sectors that visited the campus for recruitment. Most of the jobs are offered in the areas of Software Engineering, Automobile, Technology, Consulting, etc. 

In the year 2020, NIT Delhi offered internship opportunities to its students, with a placement rate of 95%. The number of businesses that visited the campus in 2020 was 10% higher than in 2019.
