The National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh (NITAP) was established in 2010 under the NIT Act 2007 by MHRD, Government of India. It has been declared an Institution of National Importance. NITAP M.Sc Admission 2025: Important Dates

NIT Arunachal Pradesh has set specific cutoff scores and ranks for its B.Tech and M.Tech programs based on candidates' performance in JEE Main and GATE exams. For B.Tech, the JEE Main closing ranks have steadily increased, with programs like Computer Science and Engineering witnessing a closing rank rise from 29,869 in 2022 to 47,057 in 2024, reflecting a shift in demand and competition. Similarly, cutoffs for Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering have evolved, marking an essential indicator for students aiming to secure seats in these disciplines.

For postgraduate programs, M.Tech cutoffs are based on GATE scores. The closing ranks for M.Tech in CSE remained steady at 393 between 2023 and 2024. Some courses, such as Mechanical System Design and Innovation Technology, saw reintroduction in 2024 with a closing score of 357.
