Muthayammal College of Arts and Science was established in 1994 in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. It is a prestigious, co-educational, autonomous self-financing institute. The college is affiliated with the Periyar University. It is recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade. DBT also approves the college for the STAR College Scheme. 

The college offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different departments. It has 18 academic departments and the institute offers 21 UG, 10 PG,  and 5 Ph.D. Research Programs. All the MCAS courses are available in English medium. Admission to these programs is based on a first come first serve basis. There is no entrance exam needed to get admission to the college. Candidates can apply for admission by visiting the college and from there they can get the application form. 

Muthayammal College of Arts and Science college provides various facilities to its students. They have a separate hostel for UG and PG students. To get admission to the hostel, candidates have to fill out the respective form. Separate hostels are available for girls and boys. They also provide transport facilities for students from different places. MCAS has a huge library with a collection of 26,551 volumes of text and reference books. The college got a rank of 125th among top 186 science colleges in India by India Today Ranking.

Muthayammal College of Arts and Science admissions are based on merit and last qualifying exam. No entrance exam is needed to get admission in the college.

Step 1 - Interested candidates can avail application form from the college office from April or the college’s website. 

Step 2 - Candidates will need to fill in their application form by giving their academic, and personal details, etc. 

Step 3 - Candidates will also need to upload required documents such as a 12th marksheet, Aadhar card, and passport-size photographs. 

Step 4 - Submit the application form and pay the application fee through online portals such as net banking, UPI, Debit Card, etc. 

Step 5 – Save your duly filled application form and payment receipt for future reference.

Muthayammal College of Arts and Science has eighteen academic divisions. Through the various departments, the institute offers 17 Undergraduate, 10 Postgraduate, 8 M.Phil, and 5 Ph.D. Research Programs. The courses include B. Sc, BBA, B. Com, BCA, MA, M. Sc, M. Muthayammal College of Arts and Science has a helpful and dedicated placement cell consisting of experienced placement officers. They provide training to the students to ensure that students are upskilled and ready for the job requirements so that students can get good placement in MNCs and several industries. The college has a proper placement process that includes Student Orientation, Placement registration, Internal training, and CSR training from Infosys, TCS, and GTT. They also provide mock interviews and On/Off campus drives. 

In the academic year of 2021-2022, total 402 students got placement by the college.
