Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), Chennai commenced its establishment in the academic year of 1949 by C. Rajam. The college has been affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college has also been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
