Lady Doak College, also known as LDC Madura is a premier Christian institution and the first women’s college in Madurai. The college was founded by a missionary, Miss Katie Wilcox in 1948 in the hope of spreading knowledge and education to women and empowering them. The college comes under the Christian Educational Trust, Katie Wilcox Education Institution which manages and promotes the college. The college is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University, and it also has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
