The college was named after Late Sri Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy who was a Politician and an educationist. KV Ranga Reddy Law College is affiliated with the Osmania University and sponsored by the AV Education Society. It is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
