KKR & KSR Institute of Technology and Sciences, commonly known as KITS, was established in 2008 by the GSR & KKR Educational Society, under the visionary leadership of its chairman, Sri Koye Subba Rao. The institute is located in Vinjanampadu village, just 5 kilometers from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. Surrounded by lush green mirch and cotton fields, the 10.94-acre campus offers a peaceful and scenic environment, making it an ideal place for learning away from the distractions of city life.
KITS is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK), and is approved by AICTE. The college offers five undergraduate and five postgraduate programs in engineering and management. With over 2,600 students pursuing their education, KITS has built a strong reputation for providing quality education supported by a disciplined environment, caring teachers, and a committed staff. The campus is equipped with excellent infrastructure, including spacious, well-ventilated classrooms, a dedicated auditorium, modern teaching facilities, and a power backup with three generators. Admission to the M.Tech program is primarily based on merit, which is determined by the rank obtained in the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). This exam is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The AP PGECET is a state-level exam for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate engineering programs in Andhra Pradesh.
In addition to AP PGECET, KITS also accepts students through the National Level Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). GATE is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), and students who qualify in this prestigious exam can also apply for admission to the M.Tech courses at KITS.
