J.D. Birla Institute, also known as JDBI, is a private unaided college that was established in the academic year 1962. The college was established by Late Sushila Devi Birla who was the wife of the eminent industrialist L.N. Birla. The college has received an “A” grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is a unit of the Vidya Mandir Society and is affiliated to Jadavpur University. The college offers courses in Science, Commerce and Management. • Admission in J.D. Birla Institute is based on merit for undergraduate programmes and for postgraduate programmes along with merit, the college conducts entrance examinations and personal interviews.
• Candidates must qualify the entrance and Personal Interview to seek admission in PG Programmes.
• Candidates can apply for admission by filling the registration form which is available on the college website.
• Once they have submitted the form, they would need to make a payment of INR 1500 through Net Banking only.
• Students must pay the fee in the allotted time, otherwise their admission can be canceled.
• Admission in any course will be confirmed only after the candidate has got their documents verified by visiting the campus physically.
• In case, a student has passed their undergraduate from a university other than Jadavpur University they would need to submit their migration certificate along with the other documents.
