Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) , Anand Highlights 2024
The Institute of Rural Management Anand was founded in 1979 and is often called IRMA or IRMA Anand. This is a private institution that was founded by Dr. Varghese Kurien, known as the “Milkman of India.” During the foundation of IRMA, Dr. Kurien was supported by a number of other organizations, including the Government of India, the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), and the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC).
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have recognized the Institute of Rural Management. Additionally, IRMA Anand holds a Grade 'A' of accreditation from the NAAC Foundation. Talking about the rankings, IRMA Anand holds the 49th position in the NIRF Rankings 2024 in the ‘Management Category.’
Programs Offered: The Institute of Rural Management Anand offers postgraduate and doctorate-level management programs. At the PG level, it provides PGDM in Rural Management (PGDM-RM) and PGDM Rural Management Executive (PGDM-RMX) programs. At the PhD level, the institute provides a Fellow Program in Management (Rural Management). Apart from these, IRMA also provides Management Development Programs (MDPs) to executives and managers, who are working in related organizations (government and semi-government organizations involved in rural development, cooperatives, and not-for-profit organizations.
IRMA Anand Placement: IRMA Anand provides various career opportunities to its students. And for the same, they have partnered with various business sectors, PSUs, state and federal governments, NGOs, and multilateral agencies. These partnerships have proven to be successful for research projects, Village Fieldwork Segment (VFS) events for students enrolled in PGDM-RM and PGDM-RM(X) programs, participation in IRMA's Management Development Programs (MDPs), and placement drives.
IRMA Anand Admission: IRMA admissions are based on entrance exams, which means candidates must have a valid entrance score in order to apply for IRMA Anand admissions. The institute accepts CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT exam scores for admission to its postgraduate programs. IRMA has a total of 240 PGDM (RM) seats. While the exam scores are just the first step of the admission process, the final selection is defined by their overall performance in entrance, written tests, and personal interviews.
