Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur,Placement Highlights 2024
New updates on IIT Kharagpur Placements 2025: According to the media reports, IIT Kharagpur Placement 2025 Phase 1 is scheduled for December 1- December 14, 2024. Further, Phase 2 of the placement is scheduled for the First week of January 2025 till the end of April 2025. IIT-KGP has already received over 1000 offers, including 20 International offers, in the first 3 days of the Phase 1 placements.
The highlight of the placement was the Highest Package received on the 1st day of the placement of Rs. 2.14 CPA. Over 11 students received a package of more than Rs. 1 CPA during the first Phase of the placements. The top recruiting companies such as Apple, DE Shaw, Google, Capital One, Graviton, Glean, Quantbox, Databricks, Microsoft, Ebullient Securities, and Samsara took part in the placement drive.

According to the official placement brochure for 2024-25, a total of 1,747 students secured job offers during the 2024 placement drive at IIT Kharagpur. Out of 685 registered BTech students, 546 successfully secured placements. Additionally, 20 students from the BArch program, 442 from the Dual Degree program, and 143 MSc students (5-year/6-year) also received offers. Prominent companies such as ITC Limited, Gartner, Barclays, and Oracle were among the top recruiting companies during the placement drive.
IIT Kharagpur Placements 2025 Highlights
The IIT Kharagpur Final Placement Report 2025 is not available yet. However, according to the news reports, IIT Kharagpur has already secured 1000+ Job offers including the PPOs in just the first 3 days of the Phase 1 Placement. Furthermore, a total of 20+ International offers were given to the students.

IIT Kharagpur MBA Placement Trends
The MBA placement data for 2022, 2023, and 2024 shows steady growth in opportunities and salary packages. In 2024, 118 students were placed, up from 94 in 2023 and 97 in 2022. Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) rose to 46 in 2024, from 41 in 2023 and 34 in 2022.
The Highest Package in 2024 was Rs. 37.07 LPA, down from Rs. 43.37 LPA in 2023 but up from Rs. 31.98 LPA in 2022. Furthermore, the Average Package in 2024 was Rs. 20.83 LPA, lower than Rs. 22.13 LPA in 2023. Overall, the MBA placements for 2024 show a positive trend with steady increases in placements, PPOs, and salary packages compared to 2022, despite minor dips from 2023.

IIT Kharagpur's PGDBA program has impressive placement records. The final placement report for the IIT Kharagpur PGDBA 2024 batch has not been released yet. However, during the 2023 batch placement, 58 out of 60 students were placed, with the Highest Package offered rising to Rs. 52 LPA from Rs. 42.5 LPA in 2022 and Rs. 36.25 LPA in 2021.

IIT Kharagpur- Home away from home
Placement: A good number of students are placed through our CDC with decent packages. Department wise, CSE gets the best placement offers, but ECE, Industrial Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, Instrumentation Engineering is also good.

Faculty: Prof. Koeli Ghoshal (Math).
Simply because she makes us visualize what the theorems and postulates actually mean. Also she makes us understand the physical significance of it. Like how is it used in real life. So math seems interesting.
