IIT-KGP also accepts CAT scores for MBA admissions. IIT Kharagpur Admission 2025-27: M.Tech/ MA/ M.Arch

IIT Kharagpur offers M.tech and MA programs through the GATE exam. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on 1,2,15, and 16 February 2025. The GATE 2025 results are expected to be released on 19 March 2025. IIT Kharagpur also offers Joint M.Tech-PhD and MCP (City Planning)-PhD programs in 42 specializations, with admission based on a valid GATE score.

IIT Kharagpur Eligibility Criteria 2025: M.Tech/ MA/ M.Arch

• Candidates with a B.Tech from IITs and a CGPA of 8.0+ (on a 10-point scale) are exempt from GATE for M.Tech programs.
• All other candidates must register on COAP 2024 and provide their COAP registration number in the application. Admissions are processed via COAP.
• B.E., AMIE, and equivalent degrees are considered equal to B.Tech.
• Final-year B.Tech students with a valid GATE 2024 score can apply provisionally but must submit proof of program completion by July 30, 2024. Non-compliance results in admission cancellation.

GATE 2025 offers an online portal for candidate interaction. Through the GATE 2025 Application Portal, candidates can:

IIT Kharagpur Admissions 2025-27: MBA

IIT Kharagpur offers a two-year residential MBA program through the Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM). The total fee for the 4-semester MBA program is Rs. 12.85 Lakhs. It includes Caution Money, Deposits, One-Time Fees, Semester Fees, Hostel Fees, Yearly Brotherhood Fund, and Insurance.

The IIT Kharagpur Executive MBA Fee for 2025-27 is Rs. 18 Lakhs. This is a 3 3-year program that also requires work experience eligibility along with minimum educational qualifications. On the other hand, the IIT Kharagpur PGDBA Fees is Rs. 25 Lakhs for the 2-year program.

The IIT Kharagpur tuition fee for the MBA program is Rs. 2,55,750 Lakhs.

IIT Kharagpur MBA Selection Process 2025-27

Two steps will be involved in selecting MBA candidates for the 2025-27 batch at Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM), IIT Kharagpur:

• Shortlisting for online Personal Interview (PI) will be based on Section-1 criteria
• IIT Kharagpur MBA Admission will be based on Application Rating (AR), CAT 2024 performance, and PI performance.
• Application Rating (AR): This rating is based on candidates' percentages in 10th, 12th, UG, and PG degrees, as well as their work experience.

Stage I: Personal Interview Shortlisting

Attending the PI is required for admission to the MBA program. The following criteria, such as CAT 2024 scores, academic performance, and others, are required to shortlist applicants for PL. Applicants must meet the minimal CAT 2024 percentile to be shortlisted for PL. Below is the table for IIT Kharagpur's previous year's CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates.

Stage 2: Final Selection for MBA Admission

In this stage of MBA Admission at IIT Kharagpur, the final selection will be based on the cumulative score of the Application Rating (AR), CAT 2024 performance, and PI performance. IIT Kharagpur Admission 2025: LLB & LLM

IIT Kharagpur opened the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law in 2006. It offers three programs: LLB (Honours)in Intellectual Property Rights, LLM, and PhD Program in Law. It is the first of its kind set up under IITs to meet the need for Lawyers with technical experience and expertise.

The IIT Kharagpur LLB Program is a 3-year course at Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, with a total fee of Rs. 7,50,400. On the other hand, the total fee for IIT Kharagpur LLM program for 2025-27 is Rs. 5,85,000.

IIT Kharagpur Admissions 2025: PhD

Following are the several categories of the PhD program:

• Regular with Institute Assistantship
• PhD with Individual Fellowship (INSPIRE, UGC NET, etc.)
• Sponsored PhD
• PhD through sponsored research projects

Admission to this program is through a Department Based Test which is followed by Academic performance, work experience, and interview. Candidates who have qualified GATE/ NET/ CSIR/ UGC or SLET are also eligible for admission.

• The application form needs to be submitted online by clicking on ``Apply Online’’.
• Candidate needs to register using Email ID and Password. Any Data entered during registration cannot be changed.
• After registration, log in with your email and password and complete the application form.
