IIT Guwahati Placements 2024
The IIT Guwahati placement 2024 has been concluded with 1124 students placed out of 1584 eligible students. Out of which 38% of students were placed in the core sector, 36% were placed in the software and IT sector, and 26% were placed in the finance sector and analyst role. IIT Guwahati’s Highest Package (Domestic) in 2024 is Rs. 2.05 CPA. However, the International Highest Package stood at Rs. 1.20 Crore Per Annum. IIT Guwahati Placements 2024 Highlights
The IIT Guwahati Placements for 2024 wrapped up with a 71% placement rate, a decrease of 7% from the previous year's 78.04%. In 2024, 1,584 students were eligible, and 1,124 were placed, compared to 1,425 eligible students and 1,112 placed in 2023. The Highest Domestic Package remained at Rs. 1.20 crore per annum, while the Highest International Package fell from Rs. 2.40 crore in 2023 to Rs. 2.05 crore in 2024. However, the Average Package rose from Rs. 25.75 LPA to Rs. 36.17 LPA.
Additionally, the number of top recruiting companies increased from 246 in 2023 to 260 in 2024, with major recruiters including Google, Microsoft, Bajaj, HPCL, and Qualcomm. Overall, while the placement rate declined, the average package improved significantly along with an increase in Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs).
