TheIndian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, widely known asIIT Hyderabad, was established in 2008 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. IIT Hyderabad provides 30+ UG and PG programs. Candidates seeking Admission to the IIT Hyderabad B.Tech program must pass the JEE Advanced exam and then go through JOSAA counseling. JOSAA manages the IIT Hyderabad seat distribution and conducts six rounds of seat distribution based on factors like JEE Advanced rank, seat availability, category, etc.

Since the IIT Hyderabad Admission B.Tech CSE program is one of the most popular, applicants can anticipate that the cut-off will fall between 613 and 1586.

In addition to the bachelor’s program, master’s and other higher education courses are also available in ME/ M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Des, and PhD programs. Based on the GATE score and after a PI round, the IIT Hyderabad narrows down the list of qualified applicants for M.Tech Admission.

Candidates must complete the IIT JAM test for IIT Hyderabad Admission in the M.Sc program. During IIT Hyderabad Placements 2024, the highest package stood at Rs.90 Lakhs Per Annum. While, IIT Hyderabad average package offered was INR 22.5 LPA. During this placement season, around 320 companies visited the campus and a total of 521 offers were made.

Earlier, during placement season 2023, the IIT Hyderabad Average Package was Rs. 20.07 Lakhs Per Annum. Around 621 Placement Offers were made to a total of 578 eligible students who were placed, and 55 of these were International Offers. There were 104 Pre-Placement offers made to students. The Highest Stipend offered during the IIT Hyderabad Summer Internship Placements 2023 was Rs. 2 Lakhs per month. The Average Monthly Stipend for students was Rs. 54,000. The IIT Hyderabad campus was visited by 138 recruiters. Among the top employers were Flipkart, JP Morgan, IBM, Capgemini, Microsoft, Indeed, Zomato, etc.

IIT Hyderabad Rankings have been consistently growing in engineering and other categories over the years. With only ten years under its belt, the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, IIT Hyderabad Ranking has been successfully rising across a variety of forums. IIT Hyderabad has earned a spot in the "Top universities in the world" category among the 41 universities listed in the QS World University Ranking 2023, falling between positions 581 and 590. According to NIRF, it rose two spots in the Engineering category from the year 2017 to place eighth in the year 2019, and it held that position in the following two years (2020 and 2021). IIT Hyderabad ranking is 15th among other Indian engineering institutions globally by QS Global Ranking. Additionally, it holds a 135th-place ranking in the Times Higher Education Asia Ranking. There are still a few rivals for the top spot in this IIT. IIT Madras, IIT Bombay, and IIT Kharagpur have consistently ranked in the top 3 for many years.
