Latest Updates: The commencement of admissions for the MBA Working Executive and PGPEx programs at IIM Shillong is set for September, 2024. Those who are interested in applying to these programs can access the official website for registration. The registration process for CAT 2024 has also begun on August 01, 2024, and the examination is scheduled to take place on November 24, 2024. Notably, there has been an increase in the registration fee for CAT 2024 across all categories.

IIM Shillong Admission 2024
Admission to IIM Shillong is presently underway. Only applicants who have taken the CAT exam 2024 are eligible for admission. Here is the Admission highlights:

IIM Shillong PGPEx Admission 2024
The PGPEx admission procedure will occur in two phases. Applicants have the flexibility to choose either round, as both rounds will adhere to the identical admission process outlined below.

IIM Shillong Admission Eligibility for PGPEx 2024
Educational Qualification: Applicants must complete a Bachelor's Degree (3 years minimum) or an equivalent educational qualification from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks.
Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of five years of working experience after their Bachelor's Degree. Candidates who have work experience outside of India are given a 1-year relaxation.
Qualifying Exam Eligibility: Candidates must have a minimum 500 score in the GMAT Exam and a minimum 50 percentile in the CAT Exam. (IIM Shillong considers GMAT Exam scores of the last 5 years and CAT Exam score of the last 2 years).
Other Requirements (Preferred): Individuals who possess business acumen and curiosity, and are eager to explore the global business world. This is important as this will set the groundwork for the course.
IIM Shillong PGPEx Admission Process 2024
IIM Shillong PGPEx admission takes place in two rounds. Candidates need to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR 3000 in order to enroll themselves in the course. The admission process for IIM Shillong PGPEx includes the following steps:
- filling the application form and paying the application fees
- shortlisting of candidates for personal interview/group discussions (applicants will be informed via email if they are shortlisted or not)
- conducting of personal interviews/group discussions as per the shortlisted list of candidates (Candidates can choose the online option in case they are overseas or belong to the PwD Category)
- conducting a second round of interviews in case of a wait list of candidates
- declaration of final results of candidates selected for the PGPEx Program.

IIM Shillong PGP Selection Criteria: Shortlisting for GD & PI
During phase 1, applicants who have achieved percentiles above the specified minimum cut-off in each CAT section will be taken into consideration. The CAT sectional cut-off set by IIM Shillong (in the previous year) is provided in the table below:

Applicants scoring above the minimum Cut-off will be further shortlisted for the GD and PI based on the following factors:
- The Computed Composite Score is determined by factoring in the scaled CAT percentile and scaled months of experience.
- The selection process takes into consideration the candidate’s academic specialization during their graduation,
- Social category
- Overall performance in CAT 2024, the available seat capacity at IIM Shillong
- Potential patterns of overlap and participation in Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) based on trends from previous years.
IIM Shillong PGP Selection Criteria: GD and PI Cut-off
Applicants who make it to the shortlist will be invited to participate in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Subsequently, they must achieve the required cut-off percentages in both the GD and PI to be eligible for final selection. Different cut-off scores will apply to various categories of candidates.

- Prospective applicants need to access the official CAT website to initiate their registration process and obtain an automatically generated login ID and password.
- Subsequently, they can access their account and proceed to complete the application form by entering personal, academic, and occupational particulars.
- Essential documents must also be uploaded to validate the furnished information.
- Following this, candidates must opt for PGP in IIM Shillong’ if they wish to apply to the said institution.

IIM Shillong PGP-WE Selection Criteria
The applicants will be selected for the MBA-WE program based on their scores in the CAT/GMAT/ WE-MAT and their performance in the interview.
IIM Shillong PGP-WE Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any field, or its equivalent from a recognized university, with at least 50% aggregate marks or its equivalent CGPA. The qualification marks for candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA) is 45%.
Experience: Candidates must have at least 3 years of full-time job experience (as of April 30, 2024) after their Bachelor's Degree.
Qualifying Examination: The Working Executive Management Aptitude Test (WE-MAT) is a written eligibility test that will assess the admission of the candidate. The format of the WE-MAT and the Common Admission Test (CAT) administered by IIMs. Individuals who achieve a minimum 50 percentile in the CAT or a minimum GMAT score of 500 are exempted from the WE-MAT Exam.
IIM Shillong PGP-WE Admission: How to Apply?
Interested Applicants are to fill out the application form available at the IIM Shillong website. They will have to provide all the details asked and pay an application fee of INR 3,000.
IIM Shillong PhD/ PhD Working Professional Admission 2024
