Hansraj College Admission

The latest guidelines from Delhi University state that admission to undergraduate courses will be determined by either the CUET examination score or through e-counselling rounds and personal interviews conducted by the university. Candidates who qualify in the CUET examinations must participate in e-counselling, where they can select their preferred college in two rounds of counselling. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website @cuet.samarth.ac.in. The application fee for CUET is INR 600 for the general category and INR 550 for SC/ST/PWD category.

Admission to the undergraduate program at Delhi University will be granted based on the candidate’s CUET score, followed by e-counselling. Candidates must register online for e-counselling, which consists of two rounds where they can choose their desired college. DU Colleges will offer admission to students based on their CUET scores.

For sports and extracurricular activities, candidates need to take a performance test in addition to the CUET entrance examinations. Selection for ECA will be based on a combination of the CUET examination score and the candidate’s performance test. Candidates must score a minimum of 25 per cent on the CUET and a minimum of 75 per cent on the performance test. 

Hansraj College offers a range of postgraduate (PG) courses, including 8 courses from the Science department and 5 courses from the Arts and Commerce department. These courses include MA, M.Com, and M.Sc with specializations in subjects like Hindi, Sanskrit, History, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, and more.

Hansraj College (HRC) provides scholarship opportunities to commendable students coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, aiming to foster their pursuit of education. The college offers scholarships based on both merit and financial need.

To ensure the fair allocation of scholarships, HRC has a dedicated Student Welfare committee that occasionally conducts interviews with applicants. Around 100 students can benefit from the scholarship program, but the exact number varies depending on individual student requirements. Additionally, the college offers a concession in fees ranging from 50% to 100%, considering factors such as financial condition, family background, and the presence of girl child, among others.

Furthermore, HRC provides various other scholarship facilities, including:

Scholarship for Enabling Unit: This scholarship is awarded annually by the College Alumni Association to the most outstanding students from the Enabling Unit. The two awards carry a value of INR 5000 and INR 3000, respectively.

Scholarship for differently-abled students: Students belonging to the differently-abled category receive a full fee waiver and are only required to contribute to the Students’ Union fund and a few minimal charges.
