B-Tech (First Year) The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination (Sr. Sec.) from recognized Board/University with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects. B-Tech (Second Year - Lateral Entry) The candidate should have passed either of the following: Diploma in Engineering/Technology for duration of 3 years (after secondary i.e. 10th) from State Board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent OR Diploma in Engineering/Technology for duration of 2 years (after Sr. Secondary t.e. 10+2) from State Board of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent OR Bachelor in science (B.Sc) degree for duration of 3 years, with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

To take admission in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering at Delhi Engineering College, candidates must possess a valid score in JEE Main or any other state-level examination.

The Admission to B.Tech shall be done by Haryana State Counseling (HSCS)/National Informatics Centre (NIC), Government of India through online off campus counseling. Counseling for B.Tech (1st year) shall be based on JEE (Main) All India Rank, Conducted by HSCS. Counseling for B.Tech (Lateral entry in 2 years) shall be based on OLETR (LEET) rank, conducted by HSCS through NIC
