An institution supported by the government and connected to the University of Mumbai is the Bombay College of Pharmacy (BCP). It was established in 1957. Both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) have given their approval. The college is the leader in pharmaceutical education and has won numerous awards for it. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited it, and the AICTE-CII has given it a prize for being the best industry-linked institute in the pharmacy mentor category.
