Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Raipur, offers admissions to Undergraduate (B.E. and Postgraduate (M.Tech.) programs based on national-level entrance exams. The scheme of admission has been planned to fulfil the objectives of merit-based admission and to grant reservations as per government policy.
Admission Process for B.E. Program
Admission to the B.E. The program is done on the basis of the marks obtained from Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CG PET) conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) or for JEE Main.
The total annual intake is divided into three categories:
State quota out of the total seats is reserved for the candidates of Chhattisgarh State at a rate of 75%.
10% seats are reserved for candidates outside Chhattisgarh.
15% seats are reserved under the Management Quota.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories are provided a 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria.
Admission Process for M.Tech. Program
Admission to the M.Tech. The program is derived from the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) examination score.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate compliance with the eligibility criteria and complete all required forms to establish their admission.
Application Procedure
The entire application process is conducted online. Follow these steps to apply:
Open the tab "Download" and click on "Application Form.
Downloaded and completed the application form with correct data. Attach a recent passport-sized photograph.
Register for the necessary entrance exams (JEE Main, CG PET, or GATE) corresponding to the chosen course.
Become listed to take the exam and aim to pass at the minimum qualifying score.
At the moment of choosing and the above, proceed with the admission by payment of the course fee and the resubmission of the corresponding documents.

The tests taken into account as a qualifying criteria are JEE Main and the CG Pre Engineering Test (CG PET) conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB). Admission to BIT Raipur is based on minimum qualifying ranks or scores in these examinations, candidates vying for a seat must fulfill the above conditions. The JEE Main results are mainly considered for applicants from other states of India and the CG PET results are considered for applicants residing in Chhattisgarh under the State Quota. Cutoff marks or ranks change from year to year, it depends on the number of applicants, number of seats available and the aggregate marks obtained in these entrance examination. Cutoff ranks are being released by the institute on a round basis for admissions and securing these cutoff ranks is compulsory for a candidate to be eligible. Furthermore, reserved category students (SC/ST/OBC) are provided with an additional 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria, making education of the quality accessible to deserving students.

College: This is one of the oldest educational institutes in the Chattisgarh for the technical education and I have studied here till 2015 and this is the best college in the city and I have given the PET Entrance test.

College: No doubt bit durg is one of the topmost institute of Chhattisgarh nd here very good faculties are available for all the branch all the professor are having experience at least of 15 years and a very beautiful atmosphere of study is available ... Different labs are also available... But when it comes to campus placement only 3 branches are having good record I.e. CS IT and ETC... And all other branches have below average campus placement records... So if u just want to take degree then bit is the best option but if u want to get a job also then u should try for NIT’s...
