BIET offers a wide range of programs at B.E. and postgraduate levels, that is, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA, besides doctoral level in various specializations.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process for BIET 2024

B.E. Admission 2024

BIET offers undergraduate-level B.E. programs in 10 distinct specializations. The duration of the program is 4 years with a total intake of 790 seats. The admission is based on entrance exams like JEE Main or Karnataka CET KCET.

• Eligibility: The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, besides one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics. Qualifying marks required in optional subjects are at least 45% for General Category and 40% for Reserved Categories.
• Selection Process: Admission is based on KCET or JEE Main scores.

B.E. Specializations and Seat Allocation:

M.Tech Admission 2024

The M.Tech program is offered in 6 specializations. There are 120 seats in total. The duration of the program is 2 years.

• Eligibility: Candidates should have a B.E./B.Tech degree in a relevant field and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
• Selection Process: Admission is given on GATE score.

M.Tech Specializations and Seat Allocation:

MBA and MCA Admission 2024

The courses offered by BIET are Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). While the MBA course offers 120 seats, the MCA course offers 30 seats.

• Eligibility: The applicant must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST). Applicants for MCA will require a bachelor's degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Mathematical and computer science as the compulsory subject must have been studied at the bachelor or 10+2 level.
• Selection Process: Candidates are enrolled into MBA Programme at BIET through Karnataka PGCET or KMAT scores. Admission into MCA Programme- Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, and CMAT scores are accepted to enroll. 

MBA and MCA Seat Allocation:

Ph.D. Admission 2024

BIET offers Ph.D. course in various disciplines. The Admissions will be as per VTU norms. Any aspirant seeking admission in the PhD program should contact the principal of the college for further details.
