Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, Maharashtra Admission 2025-2026: Process, How to Apply, Dates

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) is a medical institute. It has been acknowledged as the centre of excellence for education and research. This institute offers various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. The college also provides training to UG and PG medical and nursing students.

The UG courses offered by AFMC are MBBS and B.Sc. Nursing. The PG courses include MD and MD/MS in various specialization, M.Sc. in Anatomy, and master’s degree in Hospital Administration. The college also offers various PG Diploma courses and Super-specialty courses.

For UG courses, application procedure starts in April. For postgraduate and super speciality courses, application procedure starts in September and July respectively.

Note:

• Candidate should have an India citizenship or if belongs to outside India, the candidate should have an intention of permanently settling in India.
• Candidate applying in this institute must be unmarried.
• Candidate should be medically fit as per the mentioned standards of Govt. of India, Ministry of Defense.

AFMC Admission Schedule 2018:

AFMC MBBS and B.Sc. Nursing Admission 2018:

MBBS is a five-year course and B.Sc. is a four-year course. Admission to the MBBS course is through NEET-UG. BSc eligible candidates need to sit for an entrance exam conducted by the institute. The candidates shortlisted will be called for Interview rounds.

B.Sc. Nursing selected candidates will be required to sign an agreement for five years of service in Military Nursing.

Application Process:

MBBS course:

• Go to the official website and register for NEET.
• The application fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs. 1400 and for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs. 750.
• Payment of application fee is online.

BSc Nursing:

• Fill the online application form.
• Payment of application fee is online or can be paid through e-challan.

AFMC PG Admission 2018:

Admission to all the PG courses is on the basis of NEET-PG. For All India Quota candidates, 50% seats are reserved. Candidates with MBBS degree from Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh are not eligible for this quota.

Application Process:

• The application fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs. 3750 and for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs. 2750.
• Payment of application fee is online.

AFMC PG Diploma Admission 2018:

AFMC offers a PG Diploma course in 12 different specializations. The duration of this course is two years. Admission to this course is on the basis of NEET-PG.

• The application fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs. 3750 and for SC/ST/PH candidates is Rs. 2750.
• Payment of application fee is online.
