CISCE conducts ISC board exams every year for class 12 students. ISC 12th exams are held in Feb/March every year.
ISC Class 12 Exam Pattern 2025 has been released by the CISCE. Students appearing for the ISC 12th Exam 2025 must be thoroughly familiar with the ISC 12th Exam Pattern 2025 before starting their preparation. The ISC Exam Pattern 2025 includes exam details related to subject criteria, marking scheme, question types, exam timings, exam duration, etc. ISC Board Exams 2025 are tentative to be conducted between February to April 2025.
Students appearing for the exam need to opt for English as one of their compulsory subject. With this they also need to select three to five elective subjects. Students must pass in these subjects individually to pass overall and qualify in ISC 12th Result 2025. The passing criteria for each subject is 40% in ISC exam 2025. Students can only opt for six subjects which includes English (mandatory subject) and History, Business Studies, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Accountancy, and Biology.

Theory Paper will have four sections | Section-1 (20 marks) Students need to write a composition which should comprise 400-450 words. Section-2 In this section, students need to write an article, review or report on a given point. (15 marks) Students also need to write a proposal on a given situation. (10 marks)
Section-3 This section will include short questions and grammar & structure based questions.(15 marks)
Section-4 This section will include unseen passages in which questions need to read and give answers. (20 marks)

Project work also will have 2 sections | Section-1 This section will include listening and speaking skills. (10 marks)
Section-2 In this section an examiner will visit the school to test students’ assessment. (10 marks) |
Theory Paper | The Theory Paper will have two parts where part-1 will weightage 20 marks and part-2 will weightage 60 marks. Part-1 Part-1 will include short questions related to fundamental factual knowledge and understanding of Syllabus. Part-2 Part to will comprise 5 long questions each question will have weightage of 12 marks |
Project work | Students have to undergo a project which might include a case study, a local history, Field visit or book review and film review. Project should be at least 2000 words. |

The theory paper will have two sections | Section-1 will weigh 20 marks which will include short questions, testing knowledge and fundamental aspects of all the Subjects. Section-2 will weigh of 60 marks which will consist of 8 questions and students need to answer any 5 questions, each question will comprise 12 marks |

CISCE conducts ISC (Indian School Certificate) board exams every year for class 12 students. ISC exams are held in Feb/March every year. All students who have cleared class 11th from CISCE schools can apply for ISC 12th exams.
The ISC full form is Indian School of Certificate. It is the name given to the 12th class exam organized by Council for India School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
The exam duration for ISC Class 12 Exams is 3 hours.
The ISC 12th Exams 2025 are expected to be conducted from 10th February to 4th April 2025 in offline mode via pen and paper.
The ISC Time Table 2025 is tentative to be released by the Council in December 2024. The date sheet will be available to download on the official website.
The ISC improvement exams 2024 conducted by the CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) was held between 1st July 2025 to 16th July 2024. The result for the same was declared on 7th August 2024.
