WBPSC Clerkship Detailed Exam Pattern 2024
The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) released a detailed notification pdf for the recruitment of Clerk posts. As per the WBPSC Exam Calender 2024, the WBPSC Clerkship Phase 1 Exam for total 714413 registered candidates has been scheduled for 16th and 17th November 2024. The WBPSC Clerkship syllabus is released by the commission on its official website. The candidate must pass the Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent to be eligible for WBPSC Clerkship Exam.
WBPSC Clerkship Syllabus 2024: Overview
To be appointed as lower division assistant or lower division clerk posts in k in the Secretariat, Directorates, or District office in West Bengal state candidates have to qualify at all stages of the selection process i.e. Part-I exam (Objective Type), Part-II (Conventional Type – Written) and Typing test. Selected candidates will be provided a monthly salary of Rs.22,700/- to 58,500/-
WBPSC Clerkship Syllabus 2024: Overview
WBPSC Clerkship Part 1 Exam Pattern 2023
- The WBPSC Clerkship Part I Exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and is worth 100 marks.
- The WBPSC Clerkship Part I Exam covers the following subjects: Arithmetic, General Studies, and English.
- The WBPSC Clerkship Part-I test will last for one hour and thirty minutes, or ninety minutes.
- A penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong response.
- English Language: Marks – 30
- Arithmetics: Marks – 30
- General Studies: Marks – 40
- Total: Marks – 100
WBPSC Clerkship Part 2 Exam Pattern 2023
- Conventional-style questions on the WBPSC Clerkship Part 2 Exam are found in Group A’s English language section and Group B’s Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, and Santali language sections.
- Every group receives fifty points.
- The Part II test will last for 1 hour or 60 minutes.
- Group A- English: Marks – 50
- Group B- Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali: Marks – 50
- Total: Marks – 100
WBPSC Clerkship Exam Pattern 2023
West Bengal Public Service Commission Clerkship examination consists of three stages including and objective-type test, a descriptive-type test, and a computer ability and typing test. Details of the WBSC Clerkship exam pattern for each of these stages is elaborated below.
Stage 1: Part I Exam (Objective Type)
The Stage-I of the WBPSC Clerkship selection process is the written examination (objective type). This stage is divided into 3 sections. The total marks awarded for this stage is 100 marks. This stage tests the knowledge of candidates across topics of general studies, arithmetic, and English.
Stage 2: Part II Exam (Conventional Type)
This is the second stage in the selection process of the WBPSC Clerkship recruitment. In this stage, candidates will be asked questions on General Studies and Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali/Santali.
Stage 3: Computer Ability and Typing Test
This is the last stage in the selection process of the WBPSC Clerkship recruitment. Here the typing speed and the elementary computer knowledge of the candidate will be tested.
