- The applicant student must be from the rural area, and his/her studying/college/institution must be at least 5 km away from his/her residence. Still, the students of urban areas can apply if they are studying in a city/town other than the place of their residence.

- Prathiba Puraskar above 90% in SSLC and PUC Vidyasiri Scholarship scheme Candidates are eligible if they pass the grade X and PUC board exams with above 90% in SSLC and PUC Prathiba Puraskar.

Students Not Eligible for a Scholarship
It is equally important to know what students are not covered under this scheme. The same is enumerated below:
- Students who pursue equivalent courses more than once are not eligible; for example- the pursuit of B. Com after B.A (English), LLB after B.Ed. and so on.
- Students who are pursuing postgraduate medical courses while practicing medicine are not eligible.
- Students who have changed courses more than once are not eligible.
- Not more than two male members of the same family. However, restriction in this regard does not relate to females.

All the eligible candidates selected for the Vidyasiri scholarship will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs. 1500/- for a period of 10 months. - Upload required documents such as caste certificate, income certificate, Aadhaar card, bank account details, and mark sheets. After submitting your application online, take out the print of the same and submit it to your college along with all the documents.
- Verification by concerned Taluk Backward Classes Welfare Officer and District Backward Classes Welfare Officer.
- Once the confirmation comes online from the officers, submit the 75% attendance certificate issued by the college authorities to the Taluk Backward Classes Welfare Officer.
- Wait for final confirmation; grant disbursement will follow shortly.

Vidyasiri Scholarship: Rewards
The following prizes will be given in this scholarship:
1. A scholarship of 1000 students belongs to the SSLC category.
2. 500 scholarships are being offered to students belonging to the Class 12 category.
3. The candidates who pursue their Graduation/ Postgraduation (General courses) get separate 500 scholarships.
4. Scholarships are offered to those candidates who are pursuing Professional graduate degrees/ Professional postgraduate degrees which comes in Technical, Medical, and other related science.
5. Scholarship Amount to SSLC candidates is INR 10,100
6. Scholarship Amount to Class 12 candidates is INR 15,000.
7. A scholarship grant of INR 20,000 will be provided to the graduation degree pursuing candidates.
8. The postgraduation course pursuing candidates will get a scholarship amount of INR 25,000.
9. Pratibha Puraskar Scholarship scheme has the facility to directly credit the scholarship amount into the selected candidate's bank account.
