What is CAPF Exam?
The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) are the Armed Police Organizations under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India. All CAPFs are headed by DGP rank officers. AC stands for Assistant Commandants which is the entry level Officer post in BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, and SSB and these is also a chance of being part of National Security Guard (NSG). They operate under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, except for the AR, which operates under the Ministry of Defence. The AR, BSF, ITBP, and SSB are Border Guarding Forces, while the NSG is a commando-trained force used for special operations. CAPF Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility criteria for the CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination are decided by the UPSC. Both men and women can fill out the CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination Application Form.

CAPF Application Fee 2024

CAPF Salary Structure 2024
Applicants selected for the UPSC CAPF AC 2024 will be paid very well. The UPSC CAPF Salary 2024 ranges between INR 56,100/- and INR 1,77,500/. In addition to the standard UPSC CAPF Salary, applicants also receive additional perks and benefits such as Transport Allowance, dearness allowance, House Rent Allowance, Clinical Allowance, and Unique Duty Allowance, among many others.

UPSC CAPF (AC) 2024 Selection Process
The candidate has to go through the following stages to get selected for Assistant Commandant vacancies:
- Written Examination - The first stage of the selection process for the UPSC CAPF 2024 exam is a written examination which will be held on 04th August 2024. The written exam will comprise two papers. The paper I exam comprises the subject General Ability and Intelligence and is held for 250 Marks. The paper will be of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type. Paper II consists of General Studies, Essays, and Comprehension for 200 Marks.
- Physical test - Candidates who cleared the written examination will be called for the 02nd stage of the selection process i.e. Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.
- Interview: Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for an Interview/Personality Test. The final selection of the candidates will be based on the candidates' marks scored in the written examination and Interview/Personality Test.
