Top 10 NIT Colleges in India: Comprehensive Overview 

The National Institutes of Technology are autonomous public institutes designed to provide students with higher education. These institutes are presided over by the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007 which has also proclaimed them as Institutes of National Importance parallel to Indian Institutes of Technology. The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut or NITC) commenced its establishment in the academic year of 1961. One of the most important features of this institute is that the institute hosts a Supercomputer on its campus thus having a devoted department for Nanotechnology.
