Tamil Nadu's Directorate of Technical Education has begun TNEA registrations. The document verification process at the TFCs will take place on 12 June 2024. Candidates who have passed or are about to take the 10+2 exam may apply for TNEA counselling. Admission was based on the candidates' marks in the relevant subjects, which will be reduced to 200 (Mathematics - 100, Physics - 50, and Chemistry - 50).
The application process consists of registration, filling out forms, uploading documents, and paying the TNEA application fee. Candidates should review the eligibility requirements before completing the TNEA registration form. It must be noted that no applications will be accepted after the TNEA application deadline. Candidates who complete the registration process will be required to participate in TNEA counselling in 2024.

How to Fill TNEA Application Form 2024?
It should be noted by the candidates that the exam authority will reject any application that contains incorrect information. If a candidate fails to submit all the details while filling TNEA application form and pays the application fee by the deadline, he or she will be unable to participate in the counselling session. Each candidate is only allowed to submit one application.
Steps to Fill TNEA Registration Form 2024
Step 1 - Registration
Visit the official website at tneaonline.org and fill out the required information. Once completed, they must submit the OTP received on the registered mobile number to obtain the user ID.

Step 2 - Create a Password.
To fill out the TNEA Application form at tneaonline.org registration, log in to the candidate portal using the assigned User ID and create a password.
Step 3 - Filling Personal Details
To complete the TNEA registration form, you must enter your personal information and provide proof of a valid ID. Click "save and proceed" button after filling out all the required fields in this section.

Step 4: Enter Information for the Reservation Category
If there are any special reservation details, they must be entered. The following are included in the special reservation category:

- Differently Abled Person (PwD)
- Preferred Certificate Verification Centre (TFC) for the categories mentioned above.
Step 5 - Scholarship Information
In the next step for TNEA Registration, candidates must fill out the required scholarship information.

Step 6 - School of Study Information
After filling out the scholarship information, candidates must submit information about classes 7 through 12. Once completed, click 'Save and Proceed' to the next step.
Step 7 - Academic Information
In this step, candidates are required to enter their academic information given below:
- Qualifying Examination
- Name of the Board (HSC/ Any Other Board)
- HSC Group (Academic/ Vocational)
- Marks Obtained in Class 12
- Class 12th Registration Number
- Qualified Year
- Group Code.
Step 8- Additional Information
The candidates further need to provide this additional information:
- Center for Certificate Verification (TFC)
- Mother Tongue
- Medium of Instruction
- Parent Occupation
- Preference for Choice Entry at TFC (Yes/ No)
- Civil Native

- Native District.
Step 9 - Preview/ Submit Application Form
After filling out all of the required information, candidates must "Preview" the changes. Once all of the details have been double-checked, click the "Submit" button.
Step 10 - TNEA Application Form 2024 Fees
Candidates will be available to fill out their TNEA 2024 application form online. Candidates must check the TNEA 2024 fee structure and pay the appropriate amount through various payment methods like debit/credit card or net banking. However, if a candidate wishes to pay the TNEA application fee by demand draft, it should be made out to "The Secretary, TNEA" and payable in Chennai.

Candidates must print and submit the TNEA registration form to TFC, along with the required documents.

TNEA Registration 2024: Document Verification Process at the TFCs
The uploaded certificates are verified at the TFCs specified by the candidates in their online application form. The certificate uploading and verification procedure is communicated following the completion of the registration process.
- While verifying the documents uploaded during TNEA registration, candidates must follow the following steps:
- If the status is Incomplete, candidates must scan and upload all of the required certificates in a single pdf file.
- After uploading, they must stop the process and log out.
- If the status shows 'upload not completed and upload status as not started', scan all of the certificates as a single pdf file and upload.
- Once uploading has finished, log out and pause the upload.
- If the status "In Progress" is displayed, the certificate verification process is underway.
- If the status is 'Completed successfully', it means that the certificate verification for that application was successful.
How to retrieve TNEA 2024 Login Credentials?
If any candidate forgets their TNEA login credentials, they can reset them by following these simple steps:
- Go to the official website, tneaonline.org.
- Click "Forgot Password."
- Enter your registered phone number, date of birth, and verification code.
- Click on the submit button.
- A mail with a link to create a new password will be sent to the registered email address.
- The candidate can then reset their password.
