Teacher Training Course Overview

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)
The Central Board of Secondary Education administers the CTET, a national-level admission test. This test is given twice a year to find qualified instructors for classes 1 through 8. The CTET test is divided into two levels-

D.El.Ed. Entrance Exam

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)
The TET Exam is divided into three levels-
- Level 1 for teaching classes 1 to 5 (PRT) level
- Level 2 for teaching classes 6 to 8 (TGT) level
- Level 3 for postgraduate teaching (PGT) level
UP BTC or UP D.EL.Ed
The UP Basic Education Board organizes the UP BTC Test, which is now known as the UP D.EL.Ed., a two-year teacher training program. Applicants must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board.
