Individuals who have disabilities (PWDS) are allowed to apply for the special eligibility requirements for the SSC Combined Graduate Level examination. SSC CGL Eligibility - for Scribe
Scribe is provided for such candidates who have any kind of disabilities and they cannot write their exams or mark answers on computers. SSC CGL eligibility criteria for scribes must be known to those who have some kind of disabilities and want to opt for a scribe. Check the eligibility for the same:
​People who are blind, have a locomotor impairment (both arms are affected- BA), or have cerebral paralysis are permitted to use scribes during the exam.
Only after submitting a certificate from a government healthcare facility detailing their physical limitations and the requirement for a scribe are other categories of PwD candidates eligible to use a scribe.
Only PwD applicants who specifically requested the scribe facility on the online application form will be permitted to use one.
Candidates have the option of using the scribes provided by the Commission or selecting their own.
​If a candidate chooses a scribe, the scribe's information must be included on the proforma and the scribe is required to present both an original ID and a photocopy of the same ID.
Both candidates' candidatures will be revoked if one candidate helps another PwD candidate take the exam.
Each hour of the exam will include 20 minutes of extra time for candidates who use scribes.
Other than the scribe no other attendants are permitted in the exam room.
Candidates with one eye or who are partially blind but can read a standard question paper and write their answers using it will be permitted to use magnifying glasses in the exam room.
