SNAP 2018: For admission in Management Courses at SIU and its constituent colleges

Candidates looking for taking up MBA courses in future and wants to appear for an entrance test other than the most competitive exams like CAT, which is considered as the toughest nut to crack in terms of examination pattern, syllabus, number of students appearing and selection procedure, SNAP 2018 can be your option. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test popularly known as SNAP is an entrance examination of national-level, conducted by Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU) for admissions in management courses.  Scores obtained in SNAP test is accepted in 15 institutes under SIU for admissions to various management courses like MBA and equivalent.

SNAP 2018 Registration for admissions in MBA and other management courses in premier management institutes of India through entrance examination has already been started. Recently CAT released schedules for CAT 2018, registration for XAT 2018 also started from August 20th, 2018 along with IIFT 2018 registration which started from August 6th, 2018. Similarly, the schedule for SNAP 2018 will be released soon on the official website www.snaptest.org as announced by the officials.

Aspirants for SNAP 2018 is waiting long already for registration as the last year the registration was already started on 10th of August 2017 but this year the month is almost at end but no information on a confirmed registration date is available from SIU, however, officials have assured that the registration window will open soon and will be announced through proper medium, so that students can plan and prepare for the examination accordingly.  Online exam date for SNAP 2018 is most likely to be happening on 3rd week of December looking the pattern of the exam from previous few years, last year also SNAP 2017 was conducted on December 17, 2017, and a total of 70,000 students appeared for the same. The result was announced within little more than a week time i.e. December 28, 2017.

SNAP 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who wish to appear for SNAP 2018 should fulfill the below-mentioned criteria as set by SIU and Government of India to appear for the respective entrance examination:

  • A graduation degree from a recognized university with the minimum of 50 % aggregate and 45% for candidates under reserved category are eligible for the entrance test.
  • There are programmes which require a specific discipline and in that case, eligibility may vary depending on programme and institute opted for. The same can be checked on the individual college website.
  • The foreign candidate who has a graduate degree or equivalent from a recognized foreign university are eligible if they receive an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
