To counter this, Wipro Care and Wipro Consumer Care started the Santoor Scholarship initiative in 2016-17 for female students. Through the Santoor scholarship programme over the last seven years, nearly 6000 students have benefited.
Santoor Scholarship will provide Rs. 24,000 per annum to Female students to pursue graduation and post-graduation so they don’t have to worry about how they will pay their tuition fees.

Santoor Scholarships is an initiative of Wipro Care and Wipro Consumer Care (wipro scholarships). Many scholarships have been started by central and state governments of different states and now many corporates have started scholarship programs as a responsible citizen towards the society. Santoor Scholarship supports talented and intelligent girls who want to pursue their educational career but are unable to do so due to weaker financial condition of their families. Santoor Scholarship is for them. Santoor Scholarship is especially for female students of weaker financial backgrounds and supports them with financial assistance after they meet the eligibility criteria and are selected for this scholarship by the organizing authorities. The amount given in this scholarship varies state wise or category wise or class wise.

The main objective of Santoor Scholarship is to support students who are facing difficulties in continuing their education. This scholarship is for female students. Every year beneficiaries get Rs. 24,000 to pursue their educational dreams. The selection of female candidates is based on income and eligibility criteria set by the organization. The main aim of Santoor Scholarship is to provide substantial financial assistance to female students so that they can study without worrying about college fees. Many talented students are distracted from studies due to family problems, but this scholarship wants to change that. - The applicant must be a student in engineering, technology, business, or medicine courses.
- The female applicant must belong to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana state.
- Applicants should belong to the economically weaker section of the state.
- The age of the applicant should be less than 24 years or not more than 24 years.
- Students must be enrolled in the 3-year undergraduate course.
- Students having an interest in pursuing higher education in the field of humanities, liberal arts & sciences, and some professional courses are also encouraged in this scholarship programme.

- Every year, 1800 female students benefit from the Santoor Scholarship program. Over the past 7 years, approximately 4200 students have received assistance through this scholarship.
- The Santoor Scholarship is available in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
- Female students pursuing degrees in engineering, technology, business, or medicine are eligible for financial aid covering their educational fees and incidental expenses.
- This scholarship provides Rs. 24,000 annually to female students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
- Winners of this Santoor Scholarship receive INR 24,000 per year until they complete their studies. This amount can be used for tuition fees and other educational expenses.

- This page is for applying for a grant under the ‘SANTOOR SCHOLARSHIP’ programme for girl students who want to pursue higher education after Class 12 in any discipline of minimum 3 years duration.
- Eligibility Criteria: The Santoor Scholarship is open to students from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Chattisgarh only. To be eligible to apply, you must have:
- Passed Class 10 from a local government school.
- Passed Class 12 from a government school/junior college in the current academic year.
- Enrolled in a full-time graduate programme.
- Any application not meeting the above criteria will be rejected.
- Wipro Cares has the sole right to offer the scholarship and also has the right to modify/reject/withdraw and/or discontinue the offer without assigning any reason. No other body/agency is authorized to make any offer on the Santoor Scholarship.
- Just submitting the application does not guarantee that you will get the scholarship.
