Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship - Overview

Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna, Maharashtra is a scheme by Directorate of Art, Government of Maharashtra to support EWS students pursuing professional courses in recognized colleges/universities of the state. Selected students will get up to 30,000 for 10 months.

This scheme is for students studying in government, government aided and unaided colleges/polytechnics who are declared as marginal farmers by the competent authority or whose parents are registered laborers.

a) For children of Registered Labor / Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder).

  • For institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA / Aurangabad City / Nagpur City- Rs.30,000/- for 10 months.
  • For institutes in other areas Rs.20,000/- for 10 months.

b) For Annual Family income up to 8 Lakhs.

  • For institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA/ Aurangabad City / Nagpur City- Rs.10,000/- for 10 months.
  • For institutes in other areas Rs.8,000/- for 10 months.

Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship - Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • The applicant should have domicile status in the state of Maharashtra.
  • The applicant must be a bonafide student of an institute and should have taken admission in a professional or technical course at the graduation, post-graduation, or diploma level.
  • Students starting in deemed universities and private universities are not eligible for the scheme.
  • The applicant must not be availing of any other scholarship or financial assistance under any scheme.
  • Only two children of a family can avail the benefits of the scheme.
  • The annual income of the applicant's parents/guardian should not exceed 8 lakh rupees.
  • The candidate should not have a gap of two or more than two years during the course duration.

Panjabrao Deshmukh Scholarship - Important Documents

Students must attach important documents in support of their application while applying for a scholarship through the application form. Before starting the process, don’t forget to scan copies of all the supporting documents. Below is the list of documents required for the scholarship :

  • Mark sheet for 10th (S.S.C.) and above.
  • Maharashtra State Domicile Certificate.
  • Register Labour Certificate / Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder) Certificate or Family Annual Income Certificate if not a child of Alpabudharak or Registered Labour.
  • It is important to ensure that not more than two beneficiaries from the same family in the current year.
  • A document related to CAP.
  • Hosteller documents (In the event of a private hostel or Paying Guest, an agreement with the owner is necessary.
