NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is an entrance exam conducted by Graduation Management Admission Council (GMAC) every year. It offers admission in MBA in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and other affiliated universities. The NMAT exam has three sections: Language skills, Quantitative and Logical Reasoning. 

SNAP

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is an entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. It offers admission in various MBA courses in Symbiosis International (Deemed) University and other B-Schools in India. The SNAP exam has three sections: General English, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. NMAT VS SNAP 

MBA is one of the most valued degrees for graduates in India to pursue further studies. CAT being one the most popular exams in India as it is the gateway for admission to top B-Schools in India. But other than CAT, there are other exams, too, for getting admission into top B-Schools in India.

NMAT and SNAP fall in the list of the most reputed exams conducted in India. They both offer admission in top MBA institutions of India. Both of these exams are of national level, so that an aspirant from any corner of the country can apply for these exams. Major colleges throughout the country accept these two exams, like - SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies  (NMIMS), Mumbai and Symbiosis Institute of Buisness Management (SIBM), Pune.

The subject of the exam syllabus is similar, but topics may vary. Difficulty of these exams is also to a similar degree.

NMAT vs SNAP Eligibility Criteria

A candidate aiming for any of these examinations should look for their eligibility criteria. Applications often get rejected if a student fails to meet the eligibility criteria for the exam, leading to wasted effort and time.

NMAT -

A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for the exam. 

There is no age criteria defined by Graduate Management Admission Council (Si). 

Candidates from any department of studies can apply for this examination. ‌Candidates with a work experience of 2-3 years are preferred over other candidates. 

SNAP-

A candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for the exam. However, college students in the final year can also apply for SNAP.. 

The same goes for NMAT. There is no age criteria defined by Symbiosis International University (SIU).

Candidates from any department of studies can apply for this examination.

NMAT vs SNAP: Validity of the score

NMAT scores are valid for the academic year in which the candidate has given the exam. Candidates during that academic year can choose to apply to their desired college.

SNAP scores are valid for one year from the date of the result. Candidates can apply to their desired MBA specialization offered by Symbiosis institute during that year. 

If the candidate fails to apply to the particular colleges, then the candidate might have to give their examination again as their examination scores might not be valid.
