NEET UG Paper Analysis 2024: The NEET UG 2024 Exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, between 02:00 pm and 5:20 pm in various test centres across India. As per reports, more than 24 lakh aspirants have appeared for the NEET UG 2024 examination.
The NEET, being the most important exam for studying medicine, offers admission to a large number of medical aspirants into undergraduate courses such as MBBS and BDS in various prestigious medical colleges/institutions in India. Importance of NEET UG 2024 Paper Analysis
NEET UG paper analysis is very important for understanding the difficulty level of the NEET UG exam. It helps candidates who appeared for the exam to predict the expected cut-off for NEET 2024, depending on the NEET’s difficulty level. Hence, they can estimate their probability of qualifying for the NEET 2024 exam.
NEET UG 2024 Subject-Wise Paper Analysis
The NEET UG 2024 exam paper consists of three sections- physics, chemistry, and biology. The biology section is further divided into two sections- botany, and zoology. The paper analysis of all these subjects is mentioned below.
NEET UG 2024 Physics Paper Analysis
- According to students, the exam was difficult and the question paper was quite lengthy, compared to the previous year’s question paper.
- The majority of the questions were numerical. Merely 25% of the questions were theory-based.
- Some questions were time-consuming as they required long calculations.
- As per students, the MCQ section was tricky and one of the questions was out of the NTA-recommended syllabus.
NEET UG 2024 Chemistry Paper Analysis
- According to the students, the questions asked in the chemistry paper had an easy to moderate level.
- There was a total of 11 numerical questions and the rest were theory-based questions.
- An equal number of questions were asked in the NEET 2024 chemistry question paper from Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry.
- Most of the questions were from the NCERT’s concept, whereas some questions were taken directly from NCERT’s language.
NEET UG 2024 Biology Paper Analysis
As per the students, the botany section of the biology paper was easy. The zoology section was however moderate but the question paper was a bit lengthy.
- Botany: Questions were mostly from NCERT with a few being tricky. Two of the questions were out of NCERT’s syllabus. These were fact-based and concept-based questions.
- Zoology: While most of the questions were from NCERT’s syllabus, as per some students, few questions required knowledge other than NCERT. A lot of questions were asked from the 12th standard syllabus and most of them were in the form of match-the-column type.
