The Indian Army’s BSc Nursing or MNS examination is one of the most competitive examinations for female aspirants to join the armed forces as nurses. The Indian Army conducts the MNS exam every year. The Indian Army released the admit card on its official website on 11th January 2024. For female aspirants interested in science especially in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), then this one can be the most successful career option. To become an MNS officer, it is necessary to clear the NEET undergraduate exam.

Eligibility Conditions for the MNS Examination
· Female candidates who are unmarried/divorced/legally separated/widow without encumbrances
· Nationality: Citizen of India
· Date of Birth: Born between 01oct 1999 and 30sep 2007 (both days inclusive)
· Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed in FIRST ATTEMPT, senior secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 years schooling), with Physics, chemistry, biology (Botany & Zoology), and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory/Recognized Board/ University/ Examining Body.
· Physical Standards: Medical fitness for admission to BSc (Nursing). The course will be decided by the medical board conducted as per the standards and criteria prescribed and amended from time to time. The minimum height required for entry into the Armed Forces for female candidates is 152 cm. Candidates from Hill and North Eastern States will be accepted with a minimum height of 147cm. An allowance for growth of 02 cm will be made for candidates below 18 years at the time of examination.
· SC/ST Candidates-: It is mandatory to possess SC/ST certificate issued by a competent authority from not below the rank of class Magistrate/ Tehsildar /Sub Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or her family normally resides.
· NCC ‘C’ Candidates: Candidates who have qualified NCC 'C' must upload their NCC 'C' certificate.

Subject-Wise Syllabus 2024
1. General Intelligence – GK Current Affairs, Number Series, Space visualization, decision making, problem-solving, similarities & differences, visual memory, figure classification, relationship concept, non-verbal series, arithmetic computation, analytic function.
2. English – One word, fill in blank, comprehension, article, noun, pronouns, adjective, spotting error, synonyms & antonyms, tense, preposition, speech, conjunctions, idioms phrase, verb model, voice.
Screening Process for MNS Examination 2024
1. Shortlisting of candidates: The shortlisting will be done through NEET (UG) 2024 scores. The reference numbers of the candidates who are shortlisted for the screening process will be displayed at the website www.joinindianarmy.nuc.in. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for ToGIGE, a psychological assessment, interview and medical examination at Base Hospital Delhi Cantt. The admit card for the same can be downloaded from the above website.
2. Document Verification: All shortlisted candidates will be required to produce the originals of all documents listed in the admit card at the time of the screening process at BHDC. In case the candidate is not in possession of original certificates at the time of screening, one must produce an original receipt from the institution where the original documents are deposited. An undertaking to this effect must also be given by the candidates to produce all original certificates at the time of admission.
3. Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE): Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE) will be in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of two marks each for maximum marks of 80. There will be a negative mark of 0.5 for every incorrect answer. These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 minutes.
4. Psychological Assessment and Interview: All shortlisted candidates will undergo psychological assessment and interview by a Board of Officers at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. The candidates may be asked questions on the core subjects up to Std XII, General Knowledge, Current affairs and their interests, hobbies, etc.
5. Medical Examination: All candidates have to be medically fit keeping in view, the specific training requirements, charter of duties, and level of fitness desired for candidates to join MNS. All shortlisted candidates will undergo Special Medical Board (SMB) at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt. Candidates will be informed about their medical status on completion of the medical examination.
