Minimum Marks Required in JEE Main to Qualify for JEE Advanced

NTA will announce the JEE Main 2023 Cutoff required to qualify for JEE Advanced 2023. The minimum JEE Main marks required for JEE Advanced will be in the form of NTA percentile scores and will differ for the categories of Gen, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and Gen-EWS. Candidates can view the previous year's JEE Main cutoff marks for all categories to determine the cutoff scores required to pass the exam.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the minimum JEE Main 2023 marks required to qualify for JEE Advanced along with the JEE Main 2023 session 2 results. By the second week of April, the NTA will have announced the JEE Main second session result 2023. Minimum Marks Required in JEE Main Exam to Qualify for JEE Advanced

Candidates who achieve more than the minimum marks or the JEE Main 2023 cutoff will only be eligible to take the JEE Advanced. JEE Main is a screening test for JEE Advanced, which is used to gain admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at IITs. Since last year, the top 2,50,000 JEE Main candidates are chosen to take JEE Advanced 2022. It is critical for every candidate to score at or above the JEE Advanced Cutoff.

Students from both the unreserved and reserved categories will be among the top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify for the JEE Advanced. The exam authority will publish a candidate's raw score in JEE Main as well as the corresponding percentile score. The percentile score would be used to determine the cut off for JEE Advanced.   • The entrance exam is expected to be held online at 525 BTech/BE centres, 480 BArch centres, and approximately 225 cities across the country. The exam serves as a gateway to admission to India's most prestigious engineering schools, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
  • NTA issues the JEE Main 2023 admit card on the official website only to qualified candidates. Candidates must enter JEE Main login details such as their application number and date of birth on the official website to download their JEE Mains exam admit card. The exam conducting authority is expected to release the official JEE Main 2023 answer key within three days of the exam's conclusion.
  • Students and parents should be aware that the expected cutoff provided above is for 2022. The exact cutoff date for 2023 may differ. However, depending on the number of students who appear and the general trends observed over time, the expected cutoff score remains the same, with a variance of about 5 points either way.

The JEE Main score is calculated using a candidate's percentile. Because candidates take the exam in different shifts on different days, their percentile scores are normalised and calculated according to the formula available on the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. The cut off for JEE Main will be released only after the conclusion of the JEE Man 2023 April exam, along with the JEE Main 2023 ranks and final results.
