Medhavi Chhatra Yojna Overview
Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana was launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh (MP) to provide career opportunities for talented students. The scheme provides financial support to deserving students for higher education including tuition fees and other expenses. It is for students who are toppers and belong to economically backward classes so that they can pursue their dreams without financial burden.
Objectives of Medhavi Chhatra Yojna
Medhavi Chhatra Yojna aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections for higher education. It will cover tuition fees and other educational expenses so that talented students can pursue their dreams without financial burden. By supporting good students, the scheme will create career opportunities and educational equality. It will also encourage students to do well and contribute to the state’s development.
Under the scheme, admission fee and actual fee (excluding mess fee and caution money) which is approved by Fee Regulatory Committee or M.P. Expenditure at graduation level as fixed by Private University Regulatory Commission or Government of India/State Government as the fee, only that payment will be made.
Medhavi Chhatra Yojna Eligibility Criteria
Students need to fulfill the eligibility criteria given below to be eligible for the Medhavi Chhatra Yojna:
- The student lives in Madhya Pradesh.
- His/her father/guardian earns less than Rs.6.00 lakh.
- He/she got at least 70% in class 12 examinations by the Board of Secondary Education or 85% in CBSE/ICSE exams.
- Provided entrance exams details with regard to the student (if any):
- Has secured a rank up to 1 lakh 50 thousand in JEE Mains examination and has taken admission in BE/B.Tech course.
- Have taken the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS/BDS course.
- Have taken admission in a law course through CLAT (Common Law Admission Test).
- Have taken admission in the medical institutions conducting MBBS/BDS courses of the Central Government on the basis of other entrance examinations.
- Has taken admission to a law course at the National Law Institute, New Delhi, or the University of Delhi, New Delhi on the basis of his/her own entrance examination.

- The application form will appear.
- Fill out the required details.

Documents Required
Required Documents for Medhavi Chhatra Yojna:
- Resident certificate of Madhya Pradesh.
- Marks list of 10th and 12th exam. Income certificate.
- Aadhaar number. Aadhaar-linked bank account in case of admission in aided/ private universities or colleges.
- Item-wise fee details and receipt.
