MBA: Types of Courses

MBA courses are offered in 6 types. The details of the same can be found below: -

  • Full Time MBA Course: The goal of a full-time MBA (Master of Business Administration) programme is to give students a thorough understanding of how companies function and how leaders adapt to constantly changing circumstances and issues.
  • Part-Time MBA: Many institutions offer traditional full-time MBA or PGDM degrees, but not everyone is able to enrol in two-year management programmes taught in a traditional classroom setting. A part-time MBA is a great way for students to fulfil their MBA goals.
  • Distance MBA: The candidates who are unable to study the course of MBA full time can pursue the course through distance education. There are various institutes that offer Distance MBA including Symbiosis Centre For Distance Learning, Indira Gandhi National Open University, etc.
  • Online MBA: Its simplicity and adaptability have made this the most popular approach to MBA education today. Online MBA courses use video conferencing for lectures, and a learning management system (LMS) is used to store notes, exams, and assessments. One can study remotely while residing in a different place because the Online MBA programme does not offer any real courses.
  • Executive MBA: Only professionals in the workforce with over five years of experience are eligible to apply for this programme. The education lasts 15 to 19 months, but the curriculum is the same as it would be in a full-time MBA programme. Although executive MBA programmes are expensive, some companies support applicants.
  • Integrated MBA: The five-year Integrated MBA programme, also called the IPM (Integrated Programme in Management), combines postgraduate (MBA) and undergraduate (BBA) courses. One of the most popular programmes, it allows students to enroll as soon as they graduate from high school.
