Madras University Institute of Distance Education (IDEUNOM) was established in 1981 and began delivering distance learning that year. It's known for its distance learning options. NIRF ranks this university 25th, and NAAC gave it an "A." The University offers UG and PG distance learning courses in arts, medicine, business, law, hospitality, and computer applications.
President George Norton founded Madras University in 1840. After 14 years of the constitution, the Indian government established the University in 1854 with a structured educational policy. All South Indian universities began with Madras University. The UGC named Madras University a "potential of excellence" institution. Madras University Distance Education Courses and Fees 2024-25
Madras University IDE offers 15 UG full-time programs, including BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, and B.Lit. It also offers PG courses such as MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, and MCA.
