The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the JEE Main January session (session 1) and has released the official information brochure at the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. The information brochure has complete information about the upcoming JEE Main exam like the JEE Main admit card 2025, JEE Main exam pattern, JEE Main syllabus, and other important information and dates. The JEE Main admit card is scheduled to release on 19th January 2025 and once available, the candidates will be able to download the admit card for JEE main by entering their login credentials created at the time of JEE Main Registration.

The JEE Main exam dates for both the sessions have been announced and the exam will be held as an online computer-based test (CBT). The first session of the JEE main is scheduled to be held from January 22 to 31, 2025, while the second session is scheduled in April 2025 from April 1 to 8, 2025. Downloading the JEE Main admit card is quiet a simple process and does not involve many steps. However, one important factor to note here is that the JEE Main admit card can only be downloaded online and no physical copies are sent via post or shared via the email. To download the JEE Main admit card candidates need to follow the below step-by-step procedure.

Steps to Download JEE Main Admit Card Using Application Number and DOB?

The steps to download the JEE Main Exam admit card via the application number and date of birth (DOB) are listed below for the reference of  the candidates.

  • Visit the JEE Main official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in admit card 2025
  • Click on the JEE Main Admit Card 2025 download link
  • Select Through Application and Date of Birth option
  • Enter the application number and date of birth
  • After entering the above details, your JEE Main 2025 admit card will be displayed
  • Download and take a printout of it for further use.

Steps to Download JEE Main Admit Card Using Application Number and Password?

The steps to download the JEE Main admit card via the application number and password are listed below for the reference of the candidates.

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main.
  • Click on the Download Admit Card link given online.
  • Enter your application number.
  • Enter your password.
  • Enter the security pin mentioned below the login tab.
  • Click on the Download Admit Card tab and download the admit card.
  • Save your admit card for future reference.

After downloading the admit card, candidates should check and verify all the details mentioned on it. What are the Details Mentioned on the JEE Main Admit Card

Candidates must carefully check that all the details are mentioned on the JEE Main admit card like their name, address, exam time and venue and other details. Along with this, candidates should also note that all the details are correctly mentioned on the admit card. The admit card for JEE main will contain the following details.

List of Items to Carry at JEE Main Exam Centre

Besides JEE Main 2025 admit card, students need to carry the following items to the exam centre:

  • Self-Declaration Undertaking: Candidates will have to carry a printed copy of the self-declaration undertaking, which is a part of the admit card downloaded from NTA’s website
  • Sanitizer: Candidates have to carry a 50 ml sanitizer bottle
  • Ball Point Pen: This time candidates have to carry a ballpoint pen to the exam hall
  • Photograph: Candidates are also requested to carry one passport-size photograph to the test centre. This should be the same as uploaded while filling the online application form. The photograph needs to be pasted on a specific space in the attendance sheet at the examination hall
  • Transparent Water Bottle: Candidates have to carry one transparent water bottle
  • Masks & Gloves: Candidates have to wear masks and gloves while in the examination centre
  • Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired)

Note: For BArch paper, candidates must bring their own geometry set, colour pencils, erasers and pencils. No watercolours are required

Special provision for diabetic students

The authority allows eatables and drinks including water bottles inside the exam centre for diabetic patients. The concessions are given to diabetic candidates keeping their health conditions in mind. Diabetic students must carry the following things inside the examination hall.

  • Fruits
  • Sugar tablets
  • Transparent water bottle

Note: Candidates will not be allowed to carry packaged foods such as chips/chocolate/sandwiches etc.

List of Items prohibited inside JEE Main exam centre

NTA JEE Mains admit card 2025 will have a list of items that are not allowed inside the exam centre. Candidates can check the list of all items prohibited inside exam hall.

  • Pencil/Geometry Box or any other stationery
  • Handbag
  • Purse
  • Any kind of paper or printed material
  • Eatables and Water (loose or packed)
  • Electronic items and instruments such as Mobile Phone, Ear Phone, Microphone, Pager, Calculator
  • Instruments such as DocuPen, Slide Ruler, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder
  • Any type of watch including electronic watches with a calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the examination hall/room

JEE Main 2025 Exam Day Instructions

NTA will notify exam day instructions to candidates through the JEE Mains 2025 hall ticket. Candidates should check all the exam day guidelines mentioned in their JEE Main 2025 admit card and adhere to them. All exam day guidelines for candidates are listed below.

  • JEE Main aspirants will not be allowed to carry any item other than those mentioned on the admit card.
  • Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination room
  • Candidates must write their name and roll number at the top of the sheet and return the sheets and admit card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination hall
  • Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits and transparent water bottles to the examination hall/room. However, they will not be allowed to carry packed foods like chocolates/candy/sandwiches, etc.
  • Candidates will have to sit on the seat allocated to them
  • Candidates will be allowed to appear at the allotted venue of the test only
  • Wearing a watch inside the exam hall is not allowed
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre once the exam starts
  • Candidates without an admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam
  • Leaving the exam hall before closure/end of the exam is not permitted
  • Request for change in JEE Main 2024 exam centres will not be entertained

Forgot JEE Main 2025 Password- What to do?

In case candidates forget their password, they can follow the steps below to reset the password.

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main 2024
  • Click on the “Forgot Password” link
  • Answer the security question
  • A verification code will be sent to the registered mobile number
  • A password reset link will be sent to the registered email ID
  • Click on the reset password link and create a new password
  • Remember the new password
  • Login to the admit card link by using the new password
  • Download the JEE Main admit card

JEE Main 2025 Admit Card Errors and Discrepancies

JEE admit card 2025 might contain some errors or discrepancies. These could be related to the candidates' details or information related to test centres. To prevent any problem on the exam day due error in the admit card, students first should check the following details carefully:

  • Name
  • Paper
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Test centre name
  • City
  • State code of eligibility
  • Category

Reporting discrepancies in the JEE Main admit card is necessary. To report the discrepancy, candidates need to write a mail to jeemain-nta@gov.in. Candidates with incorrect data on their admit cards will not be allowed to appear in the exam in case they have not reported the issue to NTA. Also, NTA will not be able to make any corrections at later stages.

In addition to the above-mentioned points, students must also make a note of the following:

  • The National Testing Agency, in no case, will issue duplicate JEE Main admit cards at test centres
  • Candidates are requested to keep the admit card safe and not mutilate it or change any entry made therein
  • The admit cards are to be preserved in good condition for all future reference
  • The admit card will not be issued to aspirants whose applications are incomplete.

Forgot JEE Main Application Number?

It is normal if a candidate fails to retain his/her application number for a long, but it is an important to have information to download your admit card. While downloading the admit card (provided not having know your application number), the candidates can follow the below-mentioned points:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on I can't access my account.
  • Select I forgot my application number tab.
  • Another window appears with the following details in it:
    • Candidate's Name
    • Mother's Name
    • Father's Name
    • Date of Birth
    • State of Eligibility
    • Security Pin

Note* The application number will be sent to candidates on their registered email id and they can use it to download their admit card.
