History of IIT JEE

The Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) was first held in 1961. It was an entrance exam in India for undergraduate engineering and technology programs at famous Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other partnering universities.

In 2002, an extra exam known as the AIEEE was launched for admission to various national-level universities other than the IITs.

In 2013, the AIEEE was renamed JEE (Main), while IIT-JEE was renamed JEE (Advanced), with JEE (Main) serving as the screening exam for JEE (Advanced).

What is NTA?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers and conducts the JEE Main exam. The National Testing Agency conducts the JEE Main every year. The NTA also  determines the eligibility criteria, creates question papers, issues admit cards, announces results, and carries out other related activities. NTA also provides mock tests and lectures for subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, as well as sample test papers for all entrance exams (available to those who register for the specific exam).

It has recently implemented modifications to ensure the inclusion of candidates with disabilities. Such movements can also be seen in the JEE Main eligibility criteria 2025 released by the NTA.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) makes the JEE Main answer keys available online. Typically, the official JEE Main 2025 answer keys for both sessions 1 and 2 will be available within one week after the exam is finished.

Some subject experts from famous institutes also release the unofficial JEE Main answer key shortly after the exam and before the official one is released, along with a thorough analysis of the JEE Main 2025 question papers. This is intended to help you evaluate your performance properly. Candidates can use this JEE Mains answer key to double-check their answers and calculate their expected scores.

JEE Main 2025 Result

After taking the JEE Main exam, applicants eagerly await the National Testing Agency (NTA) to announce the results. The NTA will announce the JEE Main 2025 results on its official website. The results for both exam sessions are normally available online within 20 to 25 days of the respective examination dates.

The NTA scores for each candidate in Total in B.E./B. Tech from Session 1 and Session 2 of JEE (Main) will be combined to aggregate the results and generate the overall Merit List. Candidates who present in both sessions will be eligible for further processing based on the best of their two NTA Scores (Total). The All India Rank is given after Session 2 of the JEE (Main) Exam is conducted successfully.
