JECRC University Hostel Facilities: Overview 

To complement the world-class education that they provide, JECRC University has entered into a partnership with Stanza Living to bring their world-class accommodation facilities to the university as well.

 

Stanza Living is India’s largest and fastest-growing tech-enabled managed accommodation company that delivers a hospitality-led living experience to migrant students and young working professionals across India. They currently cater to 70,000+ residents across 22+ cities in India.

Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls

JECRC offers separate hostel accommodations for Boys and Girls. These hostels are offered to the students with the thought in mind to give them a home-away-from-home experience. All students need to follow a set of rules and regulations and pay the fees in a timely manner.

Hostel Capacity and Allocation Criteria

At JECRC, there are hostel facilities to accommodate over 1500 students overall divided among 3 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel.

Hostel facilities can be availed by students enrolled in UG programmes for the first two years or 4 semesters only.

Allocation Criteria:

  • Hostel rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Only admitted candidates are eligible for Hostel allotment.
  • Hostel will be allotted for a minimum period of one academic year, i. e Two Semesters.
  • Fee shall be suitably revised in subsequent years.
  • The allotment of rooms will be made by the Director Hostels/ Chief Warden based on the applications submitted by the candidates.
  • Admission and continued stay in the hostel will depend on academic performance, good behaviour and conduct of the student.

Types of Rooms Available

Students have the option to avail the following types of accommodation facilities:

  • The university provides apartment-style accommodation facilities to the students
  • Students can choose between air-conditioned and non air-conditioned rooms
  • There are two types of rooms: 4-seater single occupancy and 3-seater single occupancy
  • Each apartment comes with the relevant number of single-occupancy bedrooms and shared common hall including a kitchen and bathroom.

JECRC Hostel Fees 2025

Room-wise Fee Structure (Single, Double, Triple Sharing)

The hostel fee for JECRC University students is based on the room type. The students can pay the hostel fees in 2 installments. Both the Installments need to be paid with the academic fees and the payment needs to be done as per the specified dates by the authorities. Students are required to know that there are no refunds once the fee has been paid.

Payment Schedule and Refund Policy

JECRC University has a strict payment schedule and refund policy for its hostel facilities:

Payment Schedule

  • Installments: Fee for the hostel is expected to be paid in two installments, simultaneous to the academic fee payment schedule.
  • AC Rooms: Annual fee is ₹1,72,000 with the first payment of ₹1,03,000 and second payment of ₹69,000.
  • Non-AC Rooms: Total annual charge is ₹1,27,000, with the first payment of ₹76,000 and the second payment of ₹51,000.
  • Additional Charges: A non-refundable, one-time registration fee of ₹5,000 is payable at the time of admission. If students wish to use the gymnasium, an extra charge of ₹1,000 per semester is applicable. 

Refund Policy

  • Before Commencement of Classes:
  1. If a student withdraws at least 15 days before the start of classes, a deduction of ₹5,000 is made.
  2. If withdrawal occurs within 15 days before classes commence, the deduction increases to ₹10,000.​
  • After Commencement of Classes:
  1. Withdrawal up to 15 days after classes begin results in a deduction of 20% of the annual hostel fee.
  2. Withdrawal between 16 to 30 days after classes start leads to a 50% deduction.
  3. No refunds are provided for withdrawals made after 30 days from the commencement of classes.

Mess Charges and Additional Cost

Students availing residential facilities may avail their meals at the dining hall for no extra charge since the residence fee is inclusive of the mess fee.

Additional costs except the hostel fees that a student may require to bear are as follows:

  1. One-Time Registration Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of ₹5,000 is payable at the time of hostel admission. ​
  2. Gymnasium Fee: An optional gym facility is available for hostellers at an additional cost of ₹1,000 per semester. ​
  3. Electricity Charges: For non-AC rooms, electricity charges are included in the hostel fee. However, for AC rooms, electricity consumption beyond a certain limit may incur additional charges, as per university policies. ​
  4. Summer Stay: The standard hostel fee covers a 10-month period. Students opting to stay during the summer/internship break are required to pay additional charges, which are determined based on the duration and facilities availed. ​

Furnishings and Amenities in Rooms

JECRC University provides well-planned hostel accommodations that combine privacy with shared living, to create a cozy environment for students.

Room Furnishings 

Each student gets basic furniture, including:

  1. Bed
  2. Study Table and Chair
  3. Shelf
  4. Wardrobe

Rooms have plenty of space and good air flow, to help students focus on their studies and unwind. The university makes cleanliness a priority, with regular cleaning services to keep things hygienic.

 

Apartment-Style Living 

The hostel has an apartment-style setup:

  • Single-occupancy bedrooms
  • Shared common living area
  • Shared pantry and bathroom facilities

Such a setup builds a sense of community while giving students their own space.

Mess and Dining Facilities

The centrally air-conditioned dining area includes a Kitchen, Mess and Cafeteria. The complex also houses convenience stores to meet the daily needs of the residents. The residential facility is comfortable enough to ensure that students don’t feel that they are away from home.

Internet, Common Rooms, and Laundry

JECRC University offers fully-equipped hostel accommodations aimed at ensuring student comfort and convenience. Every room provides high-speed Wi-Fi and the hostel blocks have communal lounges that consist of a living space and a pantry for unwinding and socializing. 

Extra features consist of:

 

  • Wifi internet access for educational purposes
  • Units in an apartment style featuring common lounges.
  • Laundry facilities are provided on the hostel grounds.

These characteristics promote a harmonious living space that support both academic focus and student health.

Safety and Security Arrangements

JECRC University emphasizes the safety and security of its hostel occupants by implementing extensive measures:

 

  • 24/7 Security Staff: Skilled security personnel are placed at every entrance and exit of the campus, allowing entry only to those with appropriate ID and legitimate purposes.
  • CCTV Monitoring: Closed-circuit cameras are placed in different areas throughout the campus and in hostel facilities to observe activities and guarantee student security.
  • Daily Attendance: Hostel supervisors perform attendance checks every night at 10:00 PM, and all entries and exits from the hostels are logged in a register to monitor student locations.
  • Strict Prohibitions: The possession or intake of alcohol, drugs, or any unauthorized belongings is completely prohibited. Breaches may result in instant removal from the hostel and possible expulsion from the university. 

Hostel Rules and Regulations

Entry/Exit Timings and Guest Policies

The hostel administration follows a strict deadline about entry and exit timelines in the hostel premises.

  • For Boys Hostel, the gates close at 10:00 pm.
  • For Girls, the hostel gates close at 9:00pm.

Attendance is taken at 10:00 pm every night at both girls and boys hostel to ensure that the students have arrived at their respective rooms.

No student is allowed to bring any day-scholar or guest to their rooms. All guests are allowed in the common areas or visitor’s room only to meet the students. For family members staying overnight, guest rooms are available at a charge of ₹350/night.

Code of Conduct and Discipline

The university gives utmost importance to the code of conduct to maintain high standards of discipline adhering to the university’s rules and regulations.

Students should exhibit discipline and sound judgment; any behaviors deemed undisciplined may lead to disciplinary measures, which could include suspension or expulsion. 

Specific areas covered in the Code of Conduct and Discipline include:

 

  1. Misbehavior with faculty, students or university administrative staff and engaging in indecent conduct
  2. Ragging, which includes physical or mental harm to other students or leading them to submit to indignity is prohibited and such incidents will be dealt with, by the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  3. Cheating or not maintaining academic standards is a breach of the code.
  4. Unauthorized possession or use of weapons, explosives, or drugs, smoking on campus, and unauthorized parking are also prohibited.
  5. Not attending classes or participating in curricular activities, or failing to appear for tests or examinations, can be grounds for disciplinary action.
  6. Disrespecting the Dress Code by wearing inappropriate or provocative attire is also a violation of the code.

Consequences of similar indiscipline and/or violation of the code of conduct may lead to one or all of the disciplinary measures:

 

  • Warning: An official notice indicating the misconduct and cautioning against future violations.​
  • Suspension: Temporary removal from university activities or hostel facilities.​
  • Expulsion: Permanent removal from the university, barring the student from all university-related activities and premises.​

Maintenance and Cleanliness Guidelines

Every student must maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the hostel and university premises to ensure a comfortable living environment for everybody.

 

  • Housekeeping: The university provides regular housekeeping services to maintain cleanliness in common areas such as corridors, staircases and shared facilities. The students are responsible for the cleanliness of their individual rooms.
  • Waste Management: Proper disposal of waste is mandated, with designated bins placed throughout the hostel premises.​
  • Maintenance Requests: For any maintenance issues, students should promptly report to the hostel warden or maintenance department to ensure timely resolution.

Students who confirm their admission by completing registration and document verification can proceed to hostel applications (if required).

Hostel Application Process

Here is the application process to apply for hostel facilities:

 

  • The application forms can be downloaded from https://jecrcfoundation .com/student-facility-application-forms/ or can be taken from the hostel authorities.
  • Submit the completed application form to the designated office along with all required documents.
  • The Warden/Residence Authorities will evaluate the applications and make hostel allotments.

Documents Required

The following documents are required to apply for hostel at JECRC:

  • 10th and 12th Marksheets: Self-attested photocopies.
  • Graduation Mark Sheet: (For PG programs) Self-attested photocopies.
  • Migration Certificate: Self-attested photocopy.
  • Character Certificate: From your last institution, Self-attested photocopy.
  • Caste Certificate: If seeking relaxation in eligibility criteria, Self-attested photocopy.
  • Aadhar Card Copy: Self-attested photocopy.
  • Passport-size Photographs: Four colored photographs in formal dress.
  • Anti-Ragging Affidavit


Allotment Timeline

Hostels are assigned to UG & PG students on a first-come, first-serve basis at the beginning of each academic year.

Hostels are allotted for a period of two years (four semesters) for UG students, provided they do not violate the code of conduct or indulge in any form of indiscipline.
